Okay,
For those of you who want to ride along with us in New Orleans, my lame attempt at yet another video! I know, it's crappy, but I'm no movie producer and I'm still getting used to this helmet-cam!

Yeah, I was wondering where that came from ;D
We ride every Sunday, I just don't always post the pics or video. We would be glad to have you along for a tour!
Oh, did you see near the end, going over the tall bridge? It's a 45mph speed limit, I was doing 55 and people were still blowing by me!

big guy:
when I get down I'll pm you through here.
and it's normal down there not to follow the speed limit. I never do and most people I know never do.
safe riding, see you in couple months or so.

I really don't know why so many people avoid the bridges. I do the Huey, GNO and Causeway all the time. It's really safe if you hang in the right lanes. The only thing that sometimes makes it a little hairy is when the winds are kicking, which has been the case all year!
About two months ago I was riding across the Sunshine bridge with a Buddy 125 in front of me and the winds were blowing HARD from the right... all of a sudden, a huge gust came from the left and almost knocked the guy on the Buddy over in front of me! You had to be there and see it! When we got to the bottom, we pulled off and he had to change his underwear and compose himself for a two cigarette break ;D

The only bridges I avoid are the cheese grate ones. Gotta get the nerve up to try though. The vid is excellent! Besides looking like some great places to ride ,two things stand out. First was, Schlitz ? Do they still make that, I haven't seen it in over 20 years. Second was , the helmet cam is a great thing. At the 9 minute mark there was a lot of turns and you showed the proper technique of "looking thru the turn" which for new riders is a hard thing to do.

The helmet cam is a Tony Hawk cam. It was like $59 at Amazon.com and it takes up to 4GB SD cards, which is a LOT of video...
