Here in Alaska where I live - gas is through the roof - $4.959 and up to $5.699 on the highest level. Hopefully I put the link in correctly - to show the image. Anyone have any idea where to find a back-seat-bar (small size) for a passenger to lean back on? What a site here! Great information, pictures and a bunch of friendly people sharing pure excitement with each other! Hope to join you all in the near future! Alaska is the perfect place to ride. Sites and sounds, bears and moose, fish and eagles - the list goes on and I hope to share many of the photos I collect through the upcoming year! Regards AlaskaCPU

Our Town - they run up and down this mountain on the 4th of July - in about 44 minutes - 3200FT - Straight Up! Our streets are short and sweet. No stop lights in town. A few visitors - many with their bikes. A few home friends - all love their bikes as well. Regards

Great pics. Nice looking little town and the mountains in the background are beautiful. The way people are dressed it looks kind of cool for the 4th of July, what are the normal summer temps? The gas prices sound bad though.

Anyone have any idea where to find a back-seat-bar (small size) for a passenger to lean back on? Beautiful place you are living in there. I rode through Alaska last year on a GL1800 (from San Francisco), quite a treat! I was there in the middle of summer when it never really got dark. I don't know how you guys do it. Regarding something for the passenger to lean on, I haven't seen any "sissy-bar" setups for a scooter. But you might want to consider going with a top box with a back rest. You can search the internet for "scooter top box" and see that there are tons of choices. This is an example of what I'm talking about with a scooter and its top box with passenger back rest.

Wow, that looks like a totally awesome place to live. I am stuck in the most densely populated county in FL. But I have to make the best of it, for now. I was thinking in church this morning, the speaker said that we need to be grateful for everything. I thought about the high gas prices, and how people are starting to drive their cars less, and even get rid of their gas hogs, and the sales of gas hogs are down. I think there is a blessing in disguise here. How many people would ride scooters if gas were still cheap? Would there even be a Smart car in America? I think if gas was still cheap, we would be wasting a lot of it.
