Hi everyone,
I'll admit that Ive done a bit of lurking around the forum for a while , but this is my first post, so how about a little introduction...
My name is Austin and I'm an American college student. As a person passionate about motorsports--and a scooterist of course (Honda Reflex rider)--I have decided to head a new business venture called e-ficient scooting.
My team and I are currently developing a web site that aims to serve as an environmentally conscious hub for younger Americans who are new to scootering. Im here to meet other experienced scooterists; theres a lot I can learn. I would love to hear about the sort of features you would find useful on this site, but first let me summarize what we're working on...
- Retail of respected emerging scooter brands
Although we know there has been some question about the quality of off-seas manufacturers (ie Chinese), there are key companies in China who are the real deal, and are backed by the major Japanese players.
- Personalized home pages for user generated content
It'll be easy for any visitor to the site to create their own membership, so anyone can join in. From there, you can: upload pictures and videos, add "friends", post on message boards, send messages, set up a scoot meet with local riders through google maps, join a chatroom and more.
- Environmentally conscious business
Aside from the obvious EPA/DOT certifications, we are implementing many green technologies into our business. Users will be able to calculate the amount of gas and money they save while riding a scooter, as well as how much their individual carbon footprint will be reduced.
So what would you change about these services?
Once again, I am merely trying to learn from you all
thanks a lot everyone
