If your scooter is anything like mine, the OEM mirrors provide a fantastic view--of your upper arms! For over a year, I've been planning to get a pair of bar-end mirrors in order to properly see behind me. What scared me off was the high cost of the good ones (CRG "Hindsight" mirrors with expander plugs cost over $200 a pair). Well, Monday morning, I dumped the scooter in what *looked* like a water puddle, but was actually the contents of some cager's oil pan, and I found myself in need of at least one replacement. I decided to bite the bullet, and plop down the cash on bar-ends. Fortunately for me, there's a Cycle Gear store right up the road, and they're having a sale on the MOTRAX "Mini Billet Bar-End Mirrors" for 50 bucks (including expander plugs, or they can be clamped outside of the bar if you prefer). I can't say enough about how much better these are than my original mirrors! Wide view of everything going on behind me, and MUCH less vibration than stock. And they look cool, too! The only caveat is that calling them "billet" is probably a misnomer bordering on false advertising. They are NOT machined, and are obviously cast aluminum, but heck, that's why the only cost 25% of the REAL billet versions. Trying not to sound like too much of a shill, but these are $70 at most shops. Check 'em out at cyclegear.com
