Hi!
My girlfriend and i got the scooter bug together and recently bought a used Lance Venice 150 scooter with about 2k kms on it. Right after getting it i discovered a cracked manifold pipe and fixed that (my first time working on a 2-wheeler, but im an auto mechanic by trade and hoping to get into the 2-wheel world as well) and since then the driveability has been great, but im a little bugged about the top speed. According to the speedo (and checking with a chase car) the thing tops out under 50 mph. When i bought it, i was hoping to start with 55 and get 60 with mods! Hopefully i can get some advice on this forum and see what others are doing with their scoots! Im an old hand at car forums and hope to eventually be useful here, as i have been elsewhere.

Vigo welcome. Scooters are ridiculously simple creatures once you have worked on them a bit. My La Vie only tops out about 53-54 mph unless I get a long run and go into a tuck. These bikes are seriously gagged to pass emissions. A free flowing airfilter, a carb upjet and a couple holes in the end of the muffler can make a huge difference. I'm sure you will be a great asset and welcome to the forum.
