???Hi, I'm a new member and this is my first time, please be gentile. I have a new Chinese scooter and so far have not had any problems with it "YET" It is the SUNL 150cc Cruiser. My concern is a knocking sound I here when I get on it. Should I use hi-octane gas or is it something else. Thank you for reading and I look forward to talking to you guys more in the future. Frank

Frank welcome. If anyone is anything less than polite on this forum I make it a point to personally kick there a$$. No one will ever be picked on for their choice of scoot or newbie questions. The knocking sound when you get on the throttle could be many things. Check all your fasteners on the exhaust for tightness especially the two long nuts that hold the exhaust to the engine. Also if muffler has a heat shield check the fasteners on that. I use high octane in my GY6 but I really don't think it is necessary. I have used 87 octane and noticed no difference. If it is not the exhaust check for other loose things on the scoot. Center stand, kick stand, body panels etc. Valve adjustment might be suspect too. If you are not real mechanical maybe you can find a good bike mechanic to check that for you. Variators can make noise too. Hard to say.

Aaron its true, I once didnt say "bless you" after someone sneezed on here, and Aaron beat me up and took my lunch money by the sandbox on the playground.
