I live in Lakeland - Central Florida - half way between Tampa and Orlando. I commute about 7.5 miles each way to work on 45 MPH roads. I figure a 150cc scooter should be about perfect.
I have been reading everything on the web and not sooner do I think that I've found the perfect scoot, do I read some more and change my mind. Money is an issue, so I'm leaning toward a good Chinese make.
I'm looking for all the help that I can get.
Thanks,

Kinda in the same boat you are. About the same distance maybe a little shorter. Also in Florida, Pensacola area... Like the vesps 150S models, or similar. Had an order for a Lance Venice 150 that fell through, kinda lost, - not enough money for a Vespa Few brands I've been looking at have been: QLink, Motobravo, Lance, Genuine, Aprilla.. Of course price has been an issue on a few of these with certain models. I'd like a 150-200ish cc... Just kinda lost on who to buy from, and what to expect.

J give us an idea of your budget. If you have to buy online the Lance line is not bad. If you can pony a few hundred more I'd look at Fly Scooters (there are dealers in FL). If you can really pony up some more dough and you fit it the Genuine Buddy is an awesome scoot. Schwinn's are decent too. Heck anything can be it's all a question of how it's prepped and cared for. Decisions...decisions...

I'm Thinking in the $2,000 - $2,800 range. I also forgot to mention that although I am the average American male height - 5'9" - my legs are vertically challenged. I have a 28" inseam. I like the Lance Duke for the reason that it has a 28" seat height. I would also like to take my wife with me from time to time and would like a scoot that can carry 400 pounds (the majority is mine.)
