I will try to make this short. I ordered a standard cut windshield from Cee Bailey's 4/24. They sent me a Euro cut instead. They had UPS come out and pick it up at their expense (one positive note) and they would send me a standard cut that I ordered. A week later, after hearing nothing from them, I called and they said that they weren't going to send me one because they sent me a standard cut and evidently I didn't want it so they would not send another one!!
I argued and argued, using their website pictures that they sent me a Euro cut and the guy insisted that what I was describing was a standard cut. We went no where. They said they would refund my money minus the $17.00 shipping charge. I insisted they give total refund since they screwed up and I should not have to pay for their mistake. No way. I then asked them to still send me the standard cut and I would pay another $17.00 for shipping. No, they would just refund the money. Please note that I never get belligerent or angry when discussing "issues" with customers or dealers.
Two weeks pass and no refund. I call them and they said that they would send the refund but not the shipping. Again, I insisted they refund total price and again, said that I was willing to purchase the windshield. No, they would refund my money.
Another 10 days go by and I send an email asking the status of my refund. They respond sorry for the delay and they would send the refund, minus the shipping. No, send the total refund.
Another week passes and no refund. I emailed them that I had enough and I was going to file a claim with PayPal (I paid with PayPal). The next day the refund is in my account...the total amount including the shipping charge. Yahoo! A day later I get an email from Cee Bailey's stating that they accidentally refunded my shipping charges and would I please pay it back via PayPal. Yeah, right. Got the same message almost every day for about a week. Then lo and behold, what should show up in the mail is a refund check for the windshield, minus shipping charges.
A few days later, I received another one of the "please repay the shipping costs" emails. I sent an email telling them that PayPal closed the claim as being to the satisfaction of buyer and seller.
I let them know that I had also received a refund check from them. So now I have full reimbursement to my PayPal account (I did withdraw the money right away). I suggested that I could return the check to them for a processing and handling fee of $20.00, or I would let them know when I would cash it and then they could pay the bank the standard $30 stop payment fee. They should let me know what option they would like to choose.
About a week later, lo and behold I get another check from them for the $17.00 shipping fee that they wouldn't reimburse me for.
I let them know that I also received this check. I have all my money reimbursed to my PayPal account. I will tear up the checks and spend the 42 cents to send the checks to them to let them know that I am a square shooter and have been from the start and it is their ridiculous screw ups and insistence not to deal with me that turned this into a bad situation. But...justice prevailed. I ordered a Givi tall windshield from another place and it is perfect and I saved $25 over the Cee Bailey's price.
If you buy from them and they send the wrong part, make sure you take pictures of the product as proof before sending it back.
