Allnewsports.com has been operating under another name and using an address in another state. These people will rip you off in a minute and after they rip off enough people, they change their name and do it again. Here is their new link: www.alitescooters.com/You will note that on the site they advertise the Ronoco 250 and state it has the Linhai Yamaha engine. They have many complaints (bait and switch) but the bikes are all CFMoto 244's (not that these are bad, just incorrect and more expensive) they generally have no accountability or ethics. Stay Far Away !!

Thanks for the info. They are currently being investigated by state authoritys. Swindle comes to mind along with bait and switch, violating federal truth in advertising laws and a host of other possible charges.

hmmm... I wonder how they got 610 lb weight capacity for the MC-54 (fake b), since every other site on the net lists it as ~370 lbs.... shady.

I'm curious why everyone keeps calling the MC-54-250 a "fake B". There is either the 250 version or the 250B, the B version coming out after the standard CFMoto 250. There is no "fake B" version.

I thought the 'fake B' was when they sold you a Linhai, but send you a bike with the CFMoto, as indicated in the original post. I've read about this happening to people several times, and while I doubt there is really a 'fake B', there certainly seems to be a bit of bait-and-switch going on with some of the less reputable dealers. Of course, thats all hearsay coming from me, but it is mentioned fairly regularly on these boards.

Yeah that's basically what I call a fake B, a bike labeled as a B w/o the Linhai motor that's it's advertised to have.

Oh, okay ;D
I see what you mean now. I think this phenomenon will go away as the fall approaches. Back to school will bring scooter sales to a grinding halt, and the factories will catch up on production. I'm pretty sure that they are just grabbing parts and slapping them together to meet demand, which is where the "fake B" comes from.

Could be. I've been trying to trace the problem down in my "ordered a B, didn't get a B" thread/sticky in the 250 forum, but really didn't get anywhere, other than noticing the "real" B's are now coming labeled as "Cyprus 250" and from a different mfr than the usual Jonway/JMstar. You have more connections than I do, Rich, maybe you can find out something more concrete, I was just mainly bugging dealers to bug Roketa, because they won't talk to a normal person...and honestly, I don't even think Roketa knows what's going on.
