I am a soon to be new rider from Stockton, CA 
...in the lovely(ish) Central Valley. Used to ride and do some wrenching on old iron Harleys...actually went to school for it in Phoenix (where I ended up living for 11+ years)...but that was seemingly in a different lifetime.
These days I am a nurse...and a mom. Haven't ridden in quite some time. Someone where my daughter goes to school showed up several weeks ago with this sweet little scooter...my husband saw it and came home raving about the gas mileage and the price and such. Since we are quickly edging towards $5 a gallon, the mileage thing really caught hold. I started looking into scooters, trying to find out, with the little info I had, what scooter this guy had. My husband said the only markings on it were "SuperSpecial." Used our friend google and was eventually, through a rather convoluted path, lead here.
Never found said SuperSpecial, but started reading and realizing the beauty that lies within the Chinese Scooter. After the required thought and research, I finally decided to get a Lance Duke 250 from Bandit MotorSports. The order was placed and now the patience of the wait is where I stand. Lots of time to read and get the parts and such that will be needed for the PDI.
