Hello everyone. I reside in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada the nations capitol. I ride a used 2003 CPI Tracker 50cc two stroke scooter and I am currently looking for an owners and service manual. I have added a Shad SH29 rear top case and I have purchased but not yet installed a big bore piston and cylinder kit, new main jet for the carb and a Leo Vince SP3 exhaust system.

Hey stevem, welcome to the Dawg Pound!
I've also got a 50cc 2 stroke and thinking about getting an unrestricted exhaust, bigger jet and free flow air filter. People around here seem to recommend doing one mod at a time to see what each one does so tell us how yours work out.

Hey Dave,
I'm having issues with my battery not charging right now so that's first on my To Do list. I've been told that for best results it is better to do the big bore, pipe and carb uo-jetting at the same time. The pipe even came with new rollers so I may swap those out as well.

When you expand the displacement, everything on the machine has to be re-tuned to that displacement, Logic dictates the BIGGER cylinder cavity will take MORE fuel and MORE Air. So if you are planning on a new high flow air filter adding that at the same time is only logical, keeps you from having to start over with tuning it a second time. Same holds true with the exhaust, if a new HP one is anticipated, best to do that at the same time.
You will not hurt anything by doing each modification at separate times, a lot of times that is the logical way to do them as funds come available. The reason to do them all at once it mainly to save time and effort.
DO check your scooter for lean running condition anytime you change things, rich just fouls the plug and gives horrible performance, lean conditions can really destroy stuff!
