Some of you have read what has happened to me with the Lance 50 - 150 deal.
And I want to make sure you all know that Jim over at Bandit is one of the best dealers I have ever dealt with!
Granted I haven't ordered a scooter online before but I spend ALOT of cash online. And even tho they mixed up the scooters and sent me the wrong one, They are putting in a ton of time to make things right for both me and the other buyer.
If you call them expect to leave a message, They are realy busy! But they respond to my emails even on Sunday night.
The bike they sent me had the battery charged and installed and the bike had 4/10 of a mile from testing. Lance does make a great bike it ran smooth and the fit and finish was top notch.
I wouldn't think twice about ordering from Jim again. and would tell anyone it's a worry free sale!
Scobby Snacks to Everyone at Bandit, Keep up the good work!

Just ordered one, linhai mainstreet 300, from him. How long does delivery take? It's only been since last week so not trying to 'push' him. Know he is probably backed up big time. Just curious. Thanx

It took mine 3 working days to get to my local terminal, but they held on to it for 4 days untill i drove down and picked it up myself. Fedx has a big prob here! I think their heads are stuck up their butts!

Got my paper work in the mail today, 2 weeks for payment date ...But still no scoot.
I finally worked it out with Fedx over the phone. my scoot was sitting in a terminal while the corp branch was sitting on the paperwork. Its a shame that such poor shipping practice reflects back onto the dealer, BUT they should have fallowed thru to make sure the scoot was moving.
So... I am lowering my praise of Bandit to a OK Dealer just because They didn't follow thru with the shipment paperwork.

bgray,
Does Bandit have any control over the final destination shipper? Just wondering. Don't know if I am in for a normal wait or extended. Thanks

Yes Bandit does a PMI on their bikes (I was told) then they recreate them and ship them, So they pick the shipping co.
Did you get any tracking info? I got a call from the local docks 2 days before I got my tracking info from Bandit. I guess they really are backed up, But once you get the info call the trucking co. fedx was going to let my bike for a week 30min away because they do not deliver to res.
It was worth me picking the bike up even tho Bandit pays for res. delivery. I just called about my wifes bike and had them change it to dock pickup, No way am I going to wait for day while they decide who is going to deliver it Fedx west, Fedx east, or Fedx national!

I haven't heard anything yet. Found out that our loan paid the 1st so it's still early. Just trying to get a feel for timing. Not anxious yet. Know they are behind and trying from all I've read so willing to go the extra mile. But from a lot of others I have read about i would be nervous about now. Bandit does seem to be one of the better ones online. B&M was not an option here. None within 75 miles, so thought I would do business with one of the better reputable dealers online.

Payment was made July 1st? then i wouldn't count on the bike getting shipped out untill 8th or 9th due to the holidays. Lets see how close I am I bet you will get a call from the shipper to get the scoot the 16th.

Dealers often do not receive tracking info. on a timely basis. That is why you get a call from the shipper to arrange for delivery but did not know it was even shipped. Not the fault of the dealer if they don't have the info. to pass on. As much as they would like to, I don't think it is reasonable to expect them to contact the shipper for each delivery to check on it's status. Many scoots don't even go to the dealer, they ship out directly from the importer and the importers are really behind right now because of demand.
Texianmw, unless you paid extra for Bandit to have your 300 shipped to him first, from Indiana, it will most likely come directly to you from the importer.

Thanks, I'm not really expecting it, from all I have read, to be here before the first of August. So, if it's before that, I'll be happy. Have a great 4th all.

I disagree Scooterollie, First off Bandit doesn't drop ship they open everything and chk it out to make sure it runs fine, then they repack it, Fill out a BOL for the shipper. And have the scoot picked up.
Now when the shipper picks up a scoot they get the paperwork (BOL) and the first thing they do is tag it with stickers with all the info on it that also has the tracking numbers, one also goes to the sender at the pickup point.
As far as chking a status on a normal shippment I agree, But in my case where shippments got mixed up at the dealer (someone put the wrong address on the wrong scoot). and they had to stop the shippment at a dock in another state and have new paperwork submited and the scoot diverted to me now.
That is when they should check and make sure it is being shipped and not sitting on a dock for 4 days waiting on more paper work.

Sorry bgray, not true.
I recently ordered a Linhai 300 from Bandit and It did NOT come driectly from Bandit and was not PDI'd.
I won't say Bandit is good or bad. I think they (along with others) are in over their head with a level of business they weren't prepared for.
I ordered mine on 21 May and just got my MCO today (5 July). You can imagine I'm not terribly impressed.

Yea I wouldn't be myself. I know mine was checked out a bit because it did have 1/2 qt of gas in the tank. But if they did that missed the fact that the front brake wasn't bleed right and wasn't working.
I can only state what i have seen when the shipping co picked up my scoot they had all the shipping paper work and i got a copy of the tracking number before they took the scoot.
i got my MSO from bandit 7-3, I should have the bike 7-7 BUT again i am picking it up at the terminal.

bgray, Nope, YOU are incorrect, as 4back2 pointed out and I also know for a fact through personal contact with Jim. If the Linhai 300 scoot shipped out from Indiana, as it does unless extra is paid, the dealer would not have the tracking info. right away, period!

Maybe its just some of the shippers, I inspect all the local UPS buildings every month and from what I have seen FedX does it the same way. They rec. a package and the first thing they do is put tracking stickers on it. FedX uses these, UPS keeps it on the same sheet as the addresses. The shippment tracking number is right their.
