How about putting one of those neon spark-checker lights permanently on the spark plug wire for a light show/indicator?

Depending on what color and where they are mounted these may not be legal in your area. I know there are strict laws for undercarriage/accent lighting up here in Canada. In fact all lighting on street legal vehicles is heavily regulated here.
I remember back in high school, this kid I knew who had a thoroughly riced up ride got a ticket for "impersonating a snow removal vehicle" in the middle of July. It was because you could see one of his blue undercarriage lights from behind his car (not the glow, the actual light bulb was partially visible).

Cops really don't like blue lights because most cop cars use blue ligths and they want to keep the asociation of blue lights to cop cars only. Amber lights are fair game because they are already on all cars. I wan't to get orange lights and I don't think I would have much problem since orange is not much different than amber.
