i have a baccio speedy 50.only has 500 miles on it.today the oil light came on.does anyone know what i need to check?or has this ever happened to you.the oil resivor is full.

You are probably low or no oil when that light comes on. You better check it out and add more oil.

Is your oil pump working or it may be pluged up by dirt or something else.

Regardless of how good the bike is auto oilers make me nervous. I like to remove them if possible and premix my own to be sure. One of my clients cooked a new 150 hp outboard to a faulty oil injector. Those babies make the cost of a scoot look like chicken feed.

I know what you mean Aaron. I had a 3cyl 90 hp 3 carb O/B 2 cycle motor. I don't know what happened, but one carb gummed up and fried the cylinder before I knew what was happening. I had a sudden loss of power and powered down, but it was tool late. It was a pre-mix with no injector or reservoir, but this shows how important oil is to a 2 cycle motor whatever the delivery method is. Once the carb gummed up, it wasn't getting the oil it needed for that cylinder and poof, fried engine.
