hi i'm new to the site.maybe you all could answer a few questions for me.
i just bought a baccio speedy 50.it has a 2 stroke 49cc engine.i would like to know if it would be smart to put the performance mrp pack on this scoot. i can do about 40-43 mph now.i would like to be able to go about 50-55mph. Or could i just put a 70cc or 80cc big bore kit on .i know it all depends on what i want to spend.i'm afaid if i just do the big bore kit i'm not going to want to stop there.some of us always want more speed .the scoot is for me to get back and forth to work so i want it to be reliable as well as faster.what do you all think ?

If you want it reliable and speeds of 50-55mph an MRP 70cc big bore and 70cc pipe will do it. Some scoots come with 17.5mm carb and some come with 14mm carb, if you have the larger one you can probably do that without even needing to upjet. Mine's ran that way for 3,000 miles or so. I did have some cold start issues (but I ride when its below freezing too), they were cured with an iridium spark plug so i'd recommend that as well. If you want to take off faster you can get clutch springs, a main spring, or change your roller weights. For all around use with cruising speeds of 50-55mph I like 4g roller weights, MRP blue (1500 RPM) main spring, and MRP red (2000 RPM) clutch springs. I'm 285 pounds, so lighter riders may not even want the rollers and springs to take off faster.
