After reading so many good reviews, I am considering purchasing either an MC-54B-250 or MC-54-250 from mxmotorsports.us. I had a couple of questions I am hoping that someone hear can answer. I am looking to purchase the 54B mainly because of the larger trunk it appears to have. Can anyone verify that it is indeed larger. If so, the choice is a no-brainer for me, being only 100 dollars more.
In addition, does anyone know if the 54B from mcmotorsports is indeed the Linhai engine? I was hoping for the Honda engine, but only because it is technically under 250cc. Under Arkansas law, a class-M license is only needed for over 250cc (I am hoping to avoid the test.) Does anyone know if the DMV will know if I am a few cc's over the limit?
Hopefully this is the proper forum topic to post this in, since it is mainly in relation to the dealer's offerings. Thanks in advance.

is that mxmotorsports.us? the pics on their site show the bike with the Linhai clone motor, but they are the same pics shown on Roketa's website so you ae not seeing the actual bike.
If you end up with one of the new B hybrids (244cc motor but the B trunk and stereo) your VIN plate will say 244cc, which will get you by under the 250cc mark.
Of course the way people are reporting things now, it looks like even the bikes that have the 257cc motor still say 244cc on the VIN tag.

Thanks a lot for your advice! I knew quite a lot of confusion had arisen lately, so I was hoping someone would have a clue. You've been a lot of help.
Scootrider, I would really appreciate that.

I ordered from mx. Now, I am in CA so I had to have a CARB legal scooter. I ordered the Viva Roadster, what came was the MC-54-250B. It is the 257cc version. Sweet! The trunk is big enough for me to put my helmet and my daughters helmet inside ( no small heads here! )without any problems.
As to dmv, here in CA, the only thing they have asked so far( waiting on paperwork to make this thing completely legal! ) was catagory does it fall in. I told the lady 250 and there were no other questions about it.
Hope that helps.

You guys have helped me tremendously in just a few hours. I am overjoyed that I decided to join this forum. I'm facing a decision now... Perhaps I will contact the DMV and see what information they need to register my scooter? I'm not sure; I've never dealt with them other than for a car. I am glad it does have a bigger trunk. The mixed bag of differences between the linhai and honda have me wondering which to choose. Assuming the extra 7 cc's won't be a problem, I'll likely go ahead and order the B model.
Ladhys, Does your vin number reflect the linhai engine included? Or does it show the 244cc? I assume you ordered from mxmotorsports too? Was your service acceptable?

On a side note, does anyone know of any vendors that can supply the larger trunk? I would like the honda engine if it were readily available (in the same color.) Decisions, decisions.
