Spent the last hour reading posts herein on Chinese Scoots. Looks like that's the direction I'm heading with only 7 miles to the office - a great opportunity to save $. Been looking at the MotoBravo Paparazzi and/or the Wildfire motors WFH150-T - admittedly two dramatically different animals cosmetically, but both 150cc's. Any thoughts/experiences would be appreciated.
I'm looking at this as a low risk venture...if I dump $1500 in to it and it turns out to be crap, I can probably off load for at least something to limit the risk. I'm fairly handy and don't mind the mechanical adventure. Heck, I don't even mind looking like a dork riding it when I'm saving enough cash to buy the Harley!

Heck, I don't even mind looking like a dork riding it when I'm saving enough cash to buy the Harley! Hmm... then I recommend getting one in pink! With a purple fuzzy seat... LOL... (That will sooo backfire on me, if you are a girl!) Think about what you want more... Speed, economy, comfort... There has to be some breaking point. Personally, I would choose the touring bike. It has a faster rated speed and weight capacity. (The retro without a wind-shield, or console, will be painful to ride at 50MPH. Lots of hand and chest wind. As opposed to the touring bike, which has a full windshield.)
