Hey yall,
I have been registered on this site for only a few days. I came looking for information on a possible scooter purchase, and already I have found a great deal on one from "Big Guy" ;D ;D
I recently purchased an 07 F350 4x4 truck (Diesel)to pull all my big toys, but since it has to be my everyday driver too, I started looking for something else to drive while not pulling a trailer.
I think a 250 scooter will do just fine. I only drive a bout five miles to work one way, and then I have a GSA sedan to do my around town driving.
That brings up my day job, I am a recruiter in the Alabama Army National Guard.
Glad I found this site, I figured I would say hey.

Sounds too familiar, I just retired from the Army (28 yrs) and my last duty was a short stint as a guard recruiter. And I also have a large diesel truck for pulling toys. (Dodge Dully)…………Scary ain’t it…….. As I was reading your intro I thought maybe I had started a thread that I was unaware of.
Welcome aboard doorkicker, just keep reading, we have some of the smartest Dawgs in the Pound here.

Doorkicker
I just retired frm the WV Air Guard with 27 years and I also have alot of big toys but with the high cost of runnung them, i decided to go with a scooter, the best move i have made for a while, along with saving money its a blast to just get on and ride, you will find that you go more interesting places just because you want an excuse to ride,
Welcome to the fun of scooting
Rusty
PS: i got my 250 B scooter the last of April and already have over 3200 miles on it

Thanks guys, I am really looking forward to the ride. (And retirement, buts thats still a bit more time) I have two 4 wheelers that I love to ride with my Son. (His is a Yamaha Raptor 50 and that little thing rocks!!) But since I live in town (City limits) all I usually get to do is piss off my neighborhood assn. when I ride around the block.
The scooter will not only save me big on fuel costs, but also add some fun too. It just makes sense.
I wouldn't want a scooter or motorcycle for that matter as my only means of transportation, but for putting around it should be great.
I am kinda worried though, as soon as the democraps figure out that scooters make sense, I am sure they will decide that they hurt the baby polar bear or something. Hell I already see that in The Peoples Republic of Kalifornia, you can't have most of these things......That is usually where these great ideas start (Like ULSD)
Thanks again guys...
