Kick that puppy past 400 miles, and if no luck take it to have it worked on.

Just addressed this issue on my MP250A. Squealed and shuddered on take off. I removed the CVT cover and inspected the belt. Removed the clutch bell and lightly sanded the inside of the clutch bell with a high grit sandpaper. Almost just to the point of a very abrasive way of cleaning it. I also lightly sanded the pads themselves and blew everything out with air. Also cleaned any residue left in the clutch bell. Buttoned everything back up and has been smooth as silk since. No more shuddering...no more annoying squealing.

I've been fighting this issue on both my friends Roketa 54B's. This is what I've found. The clutch is engaging to soon. Bike ideals at 1000 RPM's the belt engages at 1700 The belt is grabbing then slipping around the clutch pulley causing the squeal/shake/shudder everyone is talking about until you get some speed. So is it that the three small clutch springs are too weak allowing the clutch pads to fly out to soon and grab the bell. Or is it the rollers are two heavy and it makes the variator move the belt on take off. I've sanded the pad, the bell nothing seems to be a permanent fix.

I am having the same exact problem, except mine only has 120 miles on it. I took it apart, do I need to sand the excess stuff around the pads off? Attachments:

Hello, I just posted this on another thread, I am working on my CVT as we speak on my Yamaha Majesty and the symptom was that I had a vibration when I was going about 15 mph and then if I slowly accelerated it would shake a little more than I thought was normal. So, I dug into the CVT to inspect the following; roller weights gummed up or flat spots worn in glazing on the clutch pads So I replaced the roller weights and also sanded the clutch pads with 400grit sandpaper. Now I have made a video of this and many others doing maintenance so if anyone is interested please take a look at my YouTube channel: LordDarthVader1701 Read more: scootdawg.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=200cc&action=display&thread=53842#ixzz255ReMPB1
