After doing lots of research and pondering the decision, I took the plunge and ordered a scooter from a online dealer. On June 12th I placed an order for a 250cc scooter from ScooterNitro. Order shipped same day says a email I recieved which is nice and expect it to arrive shortly (I hope), waiting on a call from the delivery service. I found this site to by far the most informative, and the people here friendly, with advice that is helpful. Been reading the forums for about 2 weeks now, and was apprehensive at first about my decision to buy a Chinese scooter. But after seeing so many helpful threads, and my job which is an aircraft mechanic, has pumped up my confidence that I have made a decent choice and should be able to overcome most mechanical difficulties that might come up. My choice to get a scooter was for several reasons. My commute is approximately 50 miles each way and was racking up alot of miles on my car (car is a 2007 Honda Civic, very good on gas), so I wanted something for commuter duties on good weather days. Also I was thinking it could be a fun alternative mode of transportation. If the 250cc scooter turns out to be a bust, suppose I pony up some more money for a large name brand scooter. Looking forward to getting on the road scootering. And thanks alot to all the people here with there positive attitudes and good posts.
