Hey there, These forums have been a tremendous help to me and my son! He bought his first vehicle tonight - a 2006 Motofino 250cc for $1325. It has 196 miles on it. I emailed Stan Jessup at oregonvintage about it running on the hot side (3/4 of the gauge). Thanks to scootdawg I was able to find his site! Stan has been very helpful with suggestions. Here's a picture of the scooter: and my son on it: The scooter needs an inspection sticker. When we got it home we noticed that the brake light stays on. You can hear the click when you apply the front brake, but the rear brake doesn't have the click. In other words, we think it is in the brake handle. Does anyone have this problem and know how to fix it? Or does anyone know of a quick fix to get an inspection sticker and then we can fix it right? Thanks again for all the information!

That looks like a 150.

Did you figure out the brake light issue? Inside of the rear brake lever assembly there is a little button that gets pushed in when the handle is released and the button pops out when the handle is squeezed. (You can see it at the base of the handle near where the bolt holds the brake lever onto the clamp.)
If you push the wires (from the other side of the clamp) to move that button up closer to the lever that may help (unless the button itself is broken, in which case it needs to be replaced).
Did that make any sense?

hibird, that's definitely a 250cc. You can tell by the curled exhaust and the tiny 10" rear wheel.

Hi from Texas back at you. That is a good looking machine your son has. A 250 has enough grunt to stay out of the way of all of the trucks and suvs that are so common here. I kind of think his daddy might be inclined to sneak out on it on occasion. Enjoy!!

Excuse me, I meant to say, his mom might be inclined to sneak out on it on occasion.
