???New to riding, and buying scoots, and seems that there is alot of internet scams. Looking for advise on where reputable, honest dealers/sites can be found. It just seems real creepy that a vast majority seem to be fly by night operations. Haven't bought my scoot yet, but when I do, I'll be buying one for the wife also, so I just don't want to be hung out to dry. Any info would be of great help. Don't want to spend a huge amount of $, so unfortunately I'll be looking at the China produced scoots as well.

Hi Barleyboy,
Welcome aboard from one newbie to another. This place is great and you will find yourself reading for hours all the great info the members have posted here.
There is a section where people can post their dealings with the internet dealers.
I haven't bought one yet, but have had some email communication with two. Motortoyshop.com and extremescooters.biz have answere my emails within the day each time I hav contacted them. From what I have read, they are two of the better online dealers.
Have fun and let us know how it goes. I love reading about people's purchases.

Definitely check out the section called Scooter dealers....the good and the bad. I understand what you mean by being scared to purchase with just anyone, and you should be. Make sure to read that section and to also check the Better Buisness Bureau. Good luck with your purchase and keep us posted.

Hey fellow newbies, I just got my new scoot from scootertronics and they have been good to deal with. And they will prep your scoot for you and deliver it ready to ride.
