Hey everyone, I have been freaking out about my order that I placed at National Online Scrooters.com....I placed this order well over a week ago, and I still have not received any kind of shipping confirmation...I tried calling them several times...sometimes its busy, sometimes it just hangs up, sometimes it goes to voice mail, and sometimes it says no one is there to answer so call back later...I have also e-mailed them at all of their e-mail addresses several times, and have not yet received a response...I did however get an order confirmation shortly after placing the order...but that had no usefull information....has anyone had any problems with these people in the past? Are they reputable? Does anyone know how to get a hold of someone there? Thanks, Paul Sorry to hear you are having trouble. Check the good and bad dealers forum. I haven't heard of them.

That sucked... I replied as it moved, and it said it was locked, and I lost my whole post!
Here we go again... (The short version.)
First... Change the topic... That is called slander, and is illegal.
You have not provided proof that they have ripped you off. Your statement actually suggests that they have complied with the law, and have done what they are required. You said they sent you notification of payment. What more do you want?
This is not McDonalds, don't expect a speedy delivery of a "Motor Vehicle". There is more that goes on behind the scenes, after you do the easy part, and hit "SUBMIT" on the internet.
You answered your own question. They are not answering... Obviously, they are not there. Possibly vacation?!?!
These guys are not sitting there, with the computer hard-wired into thier brains. It takes time to process a transaction this large. Fast-food transactions are instant. Stores give you a TRUST credit. Scooter dealers don't have that multi-million dollar luxury. They have to wait for your transaction to clear, which takes 1-2 weeks.
They also have to get your item ready... Even without prep work, they still have to find it, pull it down, get it setup for shipping, print shipping labels, setup a shipping pick-up (These are not being mailed in the post-office or dropped in a mail-box.)
Shippers can take up to two weeks to respond. They try to route multiple shipments, and have to have an available truck and crew to deliver and pick-up your shipment.
Then there is the paperwork. This is a "Motor Vehicle", and needs to be registered as a sale, needs the certificate of sale made, and needs to be confirmed with the local state.
It has only been two weeks... Did they say that they were processing/shipping all orders over-night?
You should have called to place your order. No answer = move on to another dealer. Now, after the sale, you look into this major purchase?
It is not like you lost anything. If they don't send it, just stop payment. You will not have any losses. Just sit tight. They have done what they need to do. I am sure you will be sent a tracking ID, or proof of shipping, soon.
But, please, don't deface innocent, or unproven fraud against dealers, because you are impatient and failed to do your research first.

actually he didn't slander them.. If he had said ...RIPPED ME OFF! then yea it would be slander.. but he was asking if they had ripped him off. (hence the ?)

Dude...I didn't slander anything...as for payment taking 2 weeks to process? Where? In Tibet? The money was out of my CC account instantly! I'm sure it doesn't take 2 weeks for them to get it in their account...maybe 10 years go...all I ordered was an electric start 49cc engine...I don't think it needs any of the registration/licensing things you mentioned...This retailer was the only place I could find this engine...every where else either didn't carry it or was out of stock...I tried calling and e-mailing these guys before I made the purchase...and I went out on a limb...I guess that's my own fault...I wasn't defacing anyone...and they damn sure are not innocent...you replied yourself to another post about this retailer...they weren't innocent in that incident either...im impatient yes...but I bought my 7volt battery for this thing 3 days after ordering the engine...I ordered that from a guy in Hong Kong China, and it came in the mail sometime last week...standard shipping!!! So don't give me bs about shipping/packing/handling....thats garbage and sounds like an excuse for a crappy loser retailer...I sold stuff on e-bay and it never took me that long to ship anything...

My girlfriend and I ordered two Lance scooters from National Online Scooters a few months ago. Sieg is the guy I dealt with. He was very helpful and accessible. He did move his operation to Florida recently and I`m sure it caused some disarray. He operates from a computer- he`s not a dealer with any stock- so he`s probably getting you the engine from a warehouse somewhere. That`s probably the delay. I`d try the phone and not mess with e-mails. That worked for us.

this people are a joke when i placed my order it took the guy two weeks to answer me about my tracking number , i finally got my tracking number and when my bike arrived it was like watching a horror film , my bike is a complete mess the brakes don't work the shipping package completely got crushed , there are damaged parts everywhere , the owner told me i had to accept the package because it would cost me almost 700.00 to ship it back on top of that i have no mirrors he told me not to worry that i would get all the parts to fix the bike but now almost three weeks later no response to phone calls over a dozen emails and when i called lance since the order was shipped from there warehouse (drop ship dealer) they told me my warranty was no good from them that i would have to deal with the owner from nationalonlinescooters so now i am out of almost 2000 what can i do call the bbb get my money back from the credit card company why should i have to deal with this , just call me maybe tell me he sorry buy the parts myself and he will pay me back for them , since i believed him about getting the parts i was so excited to save gas money for work i plated it and insured it now i am screwed, so here is my story STAY AWAY FROM NATIONONLINESCOOTER. maybe he is to busy but all i want is a response no to set here and pull my hair out

If I were you, I would file with the BBB...I checked and National Online Scooters has one complaint with the BBB(for not responding to customers attempts of reaching him)...You should make it two...and I will make it three if this engine does not arrive in mint condition, if at all. I spoke with a guy at a scooter parts shop which I had previously called about the engine...and he said that he would sell me one of those engines for half price...crappy part is when I called the first time the engines were out of stock and they didn't know if they would get any more in...then I got into small talk about engines with the guy at the parts shop and he said he has some that were sent back due to "not fitting" which he offered me for half price since he couldn't sell them as new anyway...If I had known this originally I would have never dealt with NOS!...but I screwed up and sent him a lot more money than I would have spent at the parts shop...now I'm actually hoping this guy doesn't come through with the engine, because I will just reverse the payment with my bank and order the half price one from the reputable and more importantly contactable parts shop...I suggest you do the same with the credit card transaction...I would call them up and tell them what happened and demand that they reverse the funds...now this is a question for you, or anyone that knows...since you did receive this scooter (broken as it may be) do you have to send it back to them if you reverse the funds? Or can you keep it since it was outside of what the terms of sale had agreed to? Let me know...but I would post with the BBB no matter what way this turns out if I were you...unless this guy comes to your house with a hell of an appology and accepts a kick in the ass...

zerout: first you must file the dispute paperwork with the cc company and provide all proof of trying to contact or getting in touch with company. the cc company will then put the amount into a suspense on the cc, which you will not have to pay while they are researching the trans. if you have a balance on the cc you still owe pymts on that. you also have to look at the terms and conditions of sale, are they to replace parts?? or whole scoot. the cc company (when research is done) will tell you what needs to be done. and no you cannot just keep scooter. i can almost guarantee that the company will contact you once they see the funds out of their merchant account and they receive the dispute paperwork (if they know anything about disputes). a dispute can take 60 - 90 days and sometimes longer. just make sure that you can provide proof of calls, when and who spoke to and what was said, e-mails are excellent as they provide real proof of a conversation, not just hearsay (phone conversation). whether or not you must pay for scoot return, cc company will tell you, that's the whole problem with internet purchases versus B&M. and i understand that most places don't have the b&m's, I don't in my neck of the woods. so always very important.....make sure of terms and conditions of sale prior to purchase. right now these dropshippers are going nuts with trying to keep up with sales, service, phone calls, etc. and this will only get worse the higher gas prices go. and no i am not a drop shipper, have only talked to a few of them. but i did process cc's and disputes for 6+ years. you can always im me on this should you need help, I will try what i can.

I'm in the same boat as you...except I ordered two and a half weeks ago.
He has been decent about emailing me back, but it's all lies, so I'm not sure what the point is. Last friday I got an email telling me my scooter had shipped and 'should' ship out on monday or tuesday. Of course that never happened.
Now National doesn't even list the Lance scooters on their site any longer.
I'm going to get VERY aggressive now and demand the scooter before the guy jets for the Cayman Islands or whatever.
In short, add me to the list of people saying DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALER!!!!

Guys!!! I just got this guy on the phone...finally got him to answer whats up with my order! I found out that his supplier (extreme something or other) has these engines on back order and doesn't know exactly when its going to be shipped....I told this guy to just forget it and refund my money....according to the e-mail confirmation, my order has been canceled and I should be getting my funds back in my account soon...Now I can get a hold of my parts guy and get him to sell me one of those returned engines for half price...given that they work...I would call today to find out whats up...

Yeah, I just talked to him too.
Basically there's a rush on scooters because of gas prices, and Lance is not giving him a lot of info either. But I told him, dude, you gotta stay in touch and LET US KNOW. It's the silence that kills ya, not the news. It's a bummer that things are moving slow, but I can deal. Getting told it's shipping, then it doesn't then not getting an answer is SCARY.

zero...I called him twice today...the first one went to voice mail...and I left a message...I decided to call right back...and keep calling until someone answered...at first it was busy...then the calls wouldnt go through...then finally got the phone to start ringing and someone picked up...it sounded like an older guy and he didnt give a name, nor did I ask for one...I called him at about noon central time...I suggest you call and if they dont answer the first time...leave a message...then call again right after...and I would continue calling until you get bored...I was about to spend my whole lunch hour keeping that phone ringing if he didn't answer...the excuse he gave me for his lack of responses was that "they" are having him move the shop to a new location and he hasnt been able to be around the phone much...When you do reach him, I would suggest playing the sad rather than mad role...he seems to sympathize a bit...and I'm sure you can get something out of him if you approach him correctly...I was straight forward with him and professional...I didnt want to get hung up on...
Good Luck

Yeah, the guy was more than likely 'Sieg'. I honestly feel like he's a decent and honest guy, but he does not know how to run an internet business like this. Like I mentioned in my post about advice to dealers...their online rep is INSANELY important...people are buying a big ticket item blind. Even the most cavalier buyer has got to pee their pants a little at this idea. When you're at home wondering where your scooter is, all kinds of horrible things race through your mind, and the only thing someone wants to hear is the truth. If he told me he was running a 3 week backlog because everyone is freaking out about $5g gas and buying scooters, I would understand completely.
Ah well....risky business this online scooter biz is.

ya i called him yesterday for about an hour straight untill i got to his answer machine and left two messages with him, i can understand sales have jumped up 300% but i can t see him helping me much, usually there is not as much damage in shipping like i got, but he told me i had to accept the shipment that he would make it right now that he here about how much damage there is , he pulling out his hair trying to figure out how to get my parts or saying screw this guy, but all i need is the brake caliper for right now and he can work on getting my other parts i can deal with the cracks i have everywhere and i have bought some cheaper mirrors , not made for this bike and dont have the turn signals built in but what can you do , it not like they sale those kind of mirrors and k mart or auto zone but now if he dont contact me in 4 more days about my bike i am going to have to get my money back, i am lucky i have over 25 pictures to prove my case a letter for the shipping company i got before the driver left and 2 witness from the people that helped me left the bike down

Yeah, I hope it gets resolved Zero.
After your experience, I decided when (and if) my scooter finally shows up, I'm going to videotape the entire delivery and inspection, just in case something happens like your experience. Man I hope not.

Definition - slander - a falsehood/lie told to harm the reputation of another.
libel - something written to harm another, not necessarily a lie/falsehood.
I see no evidence of either. Reading comprehension..........

zeroout: looks like we are in the same boat. Sieg also sold me a scooter from his National Warehouse Tools website. When it came in, the cardboard was all ripped and the metal cage was all bent. The guy delivering it even suggested that I refuse the shipment. I called Sieg and he said "No, it's only cosmetic damage." After inspecting it, I found numerous plastic parts scratched or damaged. Of course, they offered to send me the parts but I would have to replace them myself. Never had to do that before. Anyway, after a week, no parts and I found more damage. A bent part on the the center stand and a small cut in the rear tire. More calls to National and now....no reply. I've left several messages and numerous emails. I noticed also that they are no longer advertising the Lance. Lance actually called yesterday and I indicated that I wanted an RMA. Of all things, they asked if the scooter was a total loss. I told them that it may be fixable, but it should not be my responsibility to do so. They haven't called back yet. I've already called my credit card company and they will agree to reverse the charges if I send the scooter back. What I really want is a good, working scooter.

I am pretty sure he screens calls zero, so you should try a different phone. I get busy signals and just keep hitting redial like I'm trying to win Aerosmith tickets on the radio, so I know someone is there. It will ring and no one will pick up. Seems like screening to me.
