So Ive settled on buying this jacket www.motodirect.com/servlet/Detail?no=286my only problem is the sizing. im a touch potbellied and every sizing chart is for chest only. i emailed motodirect but they havent replied yet. so i ask those of my pot bellied brethren how did you size your jacket. if i go with the chest measurement the stomach wont fit. if i go with the stomach measurement the shoulders wont fit. should i take the average of my chest and stomach measurements? i know i cant be the only one with this problem

Try buying the same size you wear in a normal jacket. Worked for me. They've got straps to losen or tighten around your waist.
(I guess no one else wants to reply and admit they have a gut lol.)

I have to wear a large jacket due to my spare tire, a medium if I had a six-pack. But I find that the large riding jackets are a little sloppy where the pads/armor is inserted. I took a medium (http://www.cyclegear.com/spgm.cfm?L1=3&L2=&L3=&L4=&item=URI_MESH3-JKT-BLK-SM_G&tier2=65) with the adjustable waist and it fits ok. (I am not going out on a date or anything wearing it anyway)

I go for the XXL size, so it clears my gut. Sorry oversize is it if you have a big gut.

ya i went for the xxl i wear xl normally. ya it could be a little bigger but i could be a little smaller too. it just gives me incentive to lose the weight to make it a little more comfy. its not like im suffocating from it.

Yeah, the "Six Pack" isn't the problem, it's the "Keg"! LOL
