Thanks Lee, I took my test on Friday and passed but my wife is REALLY worried about the thing. I printed this out so we can practice at a nearby parking lot.

I just took the MSF safety course last saturday. It was well worth the $$ and time. The course book and skills practice book are included in the cost of the program.

I just took Oregon's Intermediate Rider Training and it is awesome! I learned a lot and feel much more knowledgeable & confident. You learn so many skills for day to day and also for that scary emergency "save your backside" day.

Don't forget passing your bike test is the fist step on a life long learning experience the M endorsement on your license won't protect you from the useless, ignorant cagers out there. Take care every time you get the scoot out. Speaking from someone with over 20 years 2 wheeled experience in several countries from a Puch 50 to a HD Shovel FLH 1200 with hand shift.
Try to keep it shiny side up!

Lee that is a great book. Similar to the book for cycles but exclusively for scooters. Wish we could take the course from MSF for scooters, but alas, not offered anywhere near us. Maybe someday. The scooter manual is an excellent source of info for novice or experienced scooterist. I agree it is just the beginning of life long safety awareness. Tom

Thanks for posting this.
I Just found out that this same book has been incorporated in the AL instruction book for the written test here.
Have read through it ance and plan to read through it at least a couple of more times.
Great information for those of us getting back onto two wheelers or just starting out.

Thanks for the link, Dawg. It was a great book just for scooters. I can't wait to start the practice drills.
