Rebuilt my super 8 with naraku 70cc bbk, dellorto 17.5 mm carb with 90 jet, and technigas exhaust. Scooter ran for a while then I blew the piston...I guess it was running lean. I got 102, 100, and 98 main jet and new piston then started over. I started with 102 jet and different fuel mixtures. The scooter cut off from 24:1 to 40:1 but 50:1 is running ok so far but HOLY COW does it drink the gas. Any thoughts? Don't wanna blow piston again but don't wanna stop at every gas station either. Should I put a 98 jet and retry my tests with fuel and plug chops? Thanks for any help

You can always try to restrict the intake to enrich the mixture while running the lower jet to reduce fuel consumption. Sure, performance will be affected but with the BBK it'll be a lot more sensitive to power vs MPG. I went from 110 to 85 mpg on my 4-stroke 63cc just from airflow mods & going from a 68 MJ to an 80 or 85.
