I own a 50cc pulse scout. I bought it brand new around October time, it ran perfectly fine for about a month and then I just found it really hard to start it as it is push and go. I managed to get a shop to look at it and got told the battery was dead, they recharged it and gave it back to me, which was fine for another week or two and the same happened.
This now occurs on a regular occasion, I nearly got stranded on two occasions when I couldn't even get the kick start to work. I notice it happens alot when it is cold out, specially when frost sets out.
Is there anything I can do to stop the battery draining when it's not in use? I don't leave the alarm on anymore unless I have I got it uncovered which is rarely. I do use a full bike cover, and turn my lights off, but nothing is working to keep it alive.
I am extremely new to this so mind me stupidity on anything I ask.

A trickle charger can help like Battery Tender and ALL 4T scooters will need to have the valves adjusted at least once

What are the valves? I have already took my scooter in for it's first check, wouldn't they have done it then?

There should be a CDI magneto that does the same thing that an alternator does in a car. Helps operate the electrical systems while charging the battery "trickle". I would think you're still under warranty only 5 months out. You could replace the battery but if, when charged, it works for a while, then dies, you are not getting that "trickle" charging for your battery. IMHO.

Does it turn over without starting? Have you checked for spark?
Assuming the answer to both of those is "yes", my guess is it's the battery itself. My stock battery was shot within 6 months of purchasing my new 50cc (who knows how long it was on the dealer's lot). It would work right after charging, but after a week or few days, it wouldn't have enough charge to start the engine (but would still turn over and give spark), might be as simple as swapping in a replacement battery.

Well when I press the the "on" button is just makes a noise that i know it won't start. But if I do a kick start I can sort of hear it revving and when I hear that I stop and press the start button again and it usually works or sometimes it will just start on the kick start itself.
However tonight, it broke even further, I was there kick starting it as usual and then I hear it revving, I stop and switch it on and it starts to make this awful noise. I then realise it's the kick start, like it's ratteling or vibrating against something. I turn the engine off and take a look everything seemed fine, I start it back up again and it makes the same noise. I turn it off and push down on it and then it gets stuck, it's now upside and stuck.
I have no idea what is going on, but I am guessing it's back to the shop this week. Just wish I could now get my money back and get a different make.
