So I have a 08 JCL that I bought so I can learn how to completely rebuild a 50cc engine apparantly.. lol. After hours of trouble shooting and removing all the plastic off the scooter I'm starting to actually understand how these things operate and am excited in my new hobby.... My question is i was tinkering around today just locating and figuring out what everything does and came across what I learned is the Tensioner Bolt, I think is what its called. My question is i kinda just checked the cap and it was so loose I couldnt help but keep unscrewing it until I realized there was a spring attached! I'm wondering, one. Did i mess something up by unscrewing it to that point? and two should it have been this loose in the first place? Should I tighten it back down or is it supposed to be set to a certain tightness that I completely screwed up? Pardon the pun.. ;D Anyways, any help would be extremely appreciated. I'm new to ScootDawg and this is my first post. Thanks

I apologize for the multiple posts, I'm new here. It absolutely runs, but the battery was so low the starter bendix had worn out and i had to order a new one. I'm waiting on it to come. I haven't actually disassemble the whole thing, sorry for the exaggeration, i just was looking at the relay that connects to the starter and noticed the tensioner, as i learned its called. like i said, i just saw the bolt cap and fiddled with it and noticed it was extremely loose.. I was just wondering if it should be screwed tight or if it was supposed to be a little loose because of the spring that goes around it. So do i tighten it down or is it supposed to be a little easy to screw out? Sorry, I'll get the hang of it. Thanks for helping!
