Ok guys ive been reading a ton of threads lately and i love the no plastics look( helps that mine look like sh!t) i know thier has been a ton of drama on here of late but i dont respond well to that kind of stuff so id like to keep this one civil as possible. What is needed for me to go down to just the frame? what would you guys use to waterproof everything( hank? ?) i want to completely strip to the frame ditch the cluster for now till funds allow a trailtech. id like to either go to a single or dual headlight and led brakes and i need to get a relay and hook up new turn signals. this is gonna be a side project because i have alot of things going on right now and plenty of money coming out of my account from recurring payments since christmas and my girls birthday. Now my reasoning for wanting to start now is i finally have a place that i can easily strip and store my scooter while i work on it( girls mom moved down the street and she has a garage and has agreed to let me use as i see fit) i want to put a new seat on it and im not scared of re wiring but im gonna need some help from you experienced guys with the whole customizing a scooter. once i start( which should be this weekend if i finally get two days off) i will of course keep this thread updated with pics over everything as long as i dont space out and forget to take them. sorry for the long wall of text and look forward to showing guys my scooter. OH and i need opinions on what color i should go with so let me know what you think

Its definetly a lot of work. We did it to a 150cc scoot and it turned out very nice. Stripped everything off it, painted the frame white, motor black, rewired the harness and sealed it. It looked good for having no plastics. I was somewhat considering doing it to my motofino, but with the 50cc frame it just doesnt look right. Its too small looking.
Cheers

well my scooter isnt my only transportation so i am actually looking forward to the ton of work i love to have something to tinker on( used to be my truck but im at the point one thing costs more than a scooter LOL) how exactly did you seal the harness? i do love a good black and white scheme would match my truck perfectly not gonna be a professional paint job but ive used spray cans enough that i can sure make it look decent with a spray can of clear.

Sharks I did run a straight pipe for a while , although it was never short. It Was almost the same length as a stock system. No moss needed for back pressure that is just a big myth you just don't want any exhaust leaks that could warp the exhaust valve after its shut off. So I would have it atleast come out by where you put the oil in. That would be the absolute shortest I would run...

Just remember, if you want that naked looks, that anyone willing could sabotage your bike, and it makes things easier for them to hijack the bike! The right cables just need to be shorted, and off goes the bike!
