any idears why i have to open my throttle when i start my scoot? like if i dont it will not start it just turns over untill ive opened it up...ive always thought this was a bit of a strange one you would think id know by now but yep still learning

if it a pumper carb , you just might need a little extra gas .

it does have the auto enrichner might have to test it to see if its working

+1. On my tao, the auto enricher works for the first 5 seconds or so. Opening or closing the throttle in this time will do nothing on my scoot. When I open the throttle, wait for the 5 seconds it takes for it to shut off, then my scoot accelerates.

im still waiting to test mine to see if it works as ive noticed that when i start my bike other that have to give it some throttle the reves climb slow to where i set my idle at..now it used to shoot up high for 30 seconds to a min then come back down to where ive set the idle which is making me kinda think my auto choke is faulty
