This is the 4th annual A-Town Rumble. A Scooter Rally to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. We’re planning to swarm the state capital and other points of interest while raising money for a great cause. So mark your calendar for July 13, 2013 and come to Albany!
Check out This Video: youtu.be/IJBXWtVt2HU from last year's event!
What You Get:
Rally t-shirt
Snacks upon return to the market
Guided tour through the Capital District
Free scooter pickup in the event of mechanical failure
If for any reason you can not make it the day of the Rally, we will send you the Rally shirt. If you register by June 28, you will get the official Rally shirt in the size that you ordered. For those registering for the event after June 28, you will get a prior year JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes" shirt.
This will be an epic journey. Along the way we will visit Parks, the state Capital, Dead Presidents and a Waterfall. We'll return to the Market at end of the run for some munchies and to trade war stories:).
100% of the registration fee proceeds go to JDRF, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Please register ASAP. You can register at the door, but we can not guarantee an Event shirt to those who do not pre-register. Pre-registration will also give us an idea of how much food, loaner peds, etc. we will need. Check out the newspaper coverage from the first Rumble: www.troyrecord.com/articles/2010/07/11/news/doc4c392b4e6b8f5389465224.txt
Albany's poet laureate, William Kennedy, described our town as the "Improbable City of Political Wizards, Fearless Ethnics, Spectacular Aristocrats, Splendid Nobodies, and Underrated Scoundrels". Our rally will give you a taste of all of the above.
Registration starts at 10:00 AM
We'll roll out at 11:30 AM
