We recently got our order in from OKO in Taiwan and one thing they told me is they are having a big issue with the Chinese making imitation OKO parts and passing them off as genuine. I have seen both and i can say the Chinese made carbs are very poorly made! Make sure if you guys ever go on ebay or whatever site to buy OKO carbs get the genuine ones! Here is a pic to help spot a fake. The bottom picture is one of our Genuine OKO carbs.

Thanks SE. I was thinking of getting an OKO, although I wouldn't get it through ebay. (just for the reasons you have stated.)

I always wondered what a big difference could a fake carb make since it's an exact copy of the original? Change the bowl gasket and the float pin (not required, just to be sure) and voila - you have an original OKO.

We have had people buy the fakes from another store here in Puerto Rico and have told me that the scooter will not idle at all no matter what he does and that they have leaked. Had another one break the inside where the cable goes when he hit the throttle. Next week i have a Fake carb arriving from one of my friends brand new and i will make a video pointing the differences not just in packing but in the actual product.

Dean AKA Scooterfun bought a OKO carburetor from a distributor here in Puerto Rico thinking it was the real thing. Unfortunatly he bought a fake and he has had problems with it ever since. He even took it back to the shop and they basically shut him out! Thanks Dean for the pics

I recently purchased a naraku head but I have my doubts on its authenticity. It has a very faint manufacturers stamp on it but the inside of the head looks way better than a Chinese piece of crap. Does anyone know how to spot a fake?

Thats funny, OKO cloned Keihin and even had the K stamped on the inside still, and now chinamade has copied the copy. Can only imagine the snow ball effect has to hold some truth on this part.

That emulsification tube looks like junk and that pilot recess area has no recess so I imagine it has problems idleing if the fuel just splashes around it and not directed into it. Its funny you would try to order jets for a keihin/oko and I bet they wouldnt work on that china crap.

Which are the short little ones that com on stock Carbs Genuine OKO carbs use A little longer main jet.

I have heard rumors of that before. But the issue here is OKO is not putting Keihins name on the carb. Unlike the Chinese they are passing off OKO carbs and Genuine.

my pwk oko uses same hex style jets same as a pwk keihin. I have both the oko 24mm pwk and the keihin 24mm pwk. Looks like normal round keihins in the china and hex keihins in the oko.
