this is my scoot i have been working on. i bought it this last summer for $700 not knowing a thing about scooters....it started as a 2008 jonway 150cc...looked like this borrowed pic but black and grey i drove it around all summer liked this and found what i liked and disliked about the scooter...mostly i liked the scooter, but not the spaceship plastics on it....at least one mounting point on every body panel was broken. so i justified ripping them off...this required a new headlight, which i got from a local auto parts store i threw a exhaust on i found on ebay for $40 then threw a 60mm bbk in with a uni filter and bigger jet then quickly decided im gona make it a full out custom.... so far new custom drag bar handlebars, slammed the front end and a custom kickstand that had to be lowered as well as she sits today...im waiting to fund the new lower rear shock for the stretch and new throttle controls

Wow this looks awesome. Mine also has has at least one broken fixing point on every panel and I cannot replace them as nobody sells spares for my scoot so maybe I should remove them all too ;D

People do sell complete replacement body panels you just need to know where to look. I have searched and searched and nobody sells panels for my bike. It's a Lingyun ZN125T-18 ( google it and nothings comes up ) and I really need a rear indicator lens. I have tried all the main scooter parts stores in the UK but still no good

Nice build , I pretty interested to see what your going to do with the re-seat and the deck. My scoot was pretty rough when I got it ....$150 with a busted motor and body panels off craigslist. After the fiberglass work , I just drilled holes, sowed plastic "zip ties" and common household electrical wire through all the panels. Works perfect, easy to cut for repairs , tightens up nicely, and cheap to replace. Best of all , No Rattling Body Panels Anymore! I use electrical wire on some panels to prevent the simple cutting . Been perfect and holding for over a year now. Image : www5.picturepush.com/photo/a/11675008/img/11675008.jpg

Nice bikes! How do you like the expansion chamber on the 4t? Ive been looking at getting one but not sure how they are. Im building a 232cc with a taida 8mm stroker crank, 67mm ceramic taida cylinder kit, taida big valve head, etc. Was the frame green from factory? Looks sweet with the straight bars, keep it coming!

That's pretty neat, I especially like the chopper look of the red and white but the green one's coming along nicely as well, I've been wanting to do something similar but I can't have my scoot go down for three months while I work on it plus I like having the cargo space but I am looking for an aftermarket custom body kit like the hayabusa but they don't seem to sell any.
Doesn't make any sense, one would think there's a great market for producing custom body kits for gy6's... But as was pointed out, it's hard enough just finding stock pieces of body.
That having been said, if I might recommend you're going to need new tires and soon, I ended up getting Shinko SR007 tires for mine and am very pleased.

Deffinately need new tires.....the frame was black from the factory. I like the expansion chamber exhaust but I only have a stock muffler to compare to so far. My headlight came yesterday so I'm trying to get it mounted along with my new turn signals and brake light. I'm gona shove the battery under the seat for right now. I will get it stretched as well, but for right now I want to get it streetable first. I got a trail tech speed/tach that should be here tomorrow....thanks for all the encouragement and kind words. I love workin on this thing!

nice build you got going. I am wanting to do that to my scoot. so how much did you drop on the front end? I tried to lower mine front end two inches today(my scooter is exactly like yours) but the fork had notches so i could only lower it one inch...Please let me know how i can further drop it.

its dropped pretty far, 2in probably. anywayz been a while since i updated. i got a nice new rear blinker integrated led rear tail light and have been driving a little bit. and my reduced wire wiring job still isnt reduced enough for me so im putting it up and rewiring the whole damn thing with as little wires and connectors that it can be done with heres where i got today soo many wires...
