Superiorpowersports have great customer service and low prices. Also fast shipping. In general, I'm quite happy about them, However,
They say they have parts, but when I asked for a rear seat cushion they did not have it.
Their mechanics also seem to contradict each other when asking for the right motor oil.
And worse of all, their "free PDI" is not really done! It's 'free', so technically you can't ask for a rebate. On my bike a few screws came off, few nuts came off, and the fluid levels where there, enough to start the bike without overheating it, but not enough to actually drive it (fluid levels where at around 10%, in other words, it was necessary to be added).
All of the above are minor things, save for the PDI. It's usually the one thing that prevents users to buy cheap ass bikes, if they have to take the bike apart bolt by bolt, but it's not well done with superiorpowersports (if done at all).

One that has me skeptical is.. www.topscootersource.com/scooters/49cc-and-50cc-scooters.htmlNo matter what scoot you pick...they quote $5 flat rate shipping on it.....anywhere in the U.S. A few customers have asked me about them...I told them..seems almost as fishy as scooterdepot to me...except scooterdepot has hidden costs...so maybe these folks do as well?..hmmm...

They use a free OS platform, Magneto, with a free template. I know because that's what I use. My guess is they just load a data file and have no idea what they are selling. Probably haven't figured out how to set the shipping costs. Just like most other drop ship websites.

There are no hidden fees on scooterdepot. They tell you exactly what you'll be getting. You pay for the bike, and shipping costs. on some of the cheaper scoots, you pay an additional 69 for warranty. But before you get to the checkout, you'll see the price in the basket, so no surprises.
Generally speaking, shipping cost of bikes is about the same. 50cc being the lowest. They sometimes charge extra for +150cc bikes, as the liftgate to door delivery may be higher. I remember a delivery company, delivering a bike to my door, and the 2 drivers just picked it up from the truck. I was scared they'd drop the thing! Liftgate service is necessary for anything above tiny 50cc scoots. But on some scoots you can save money by just having 2 to 3 strong guys in the house that won't mind picking up the box from the truck. a 50cc scoot one can carry with 2 strong guys.

That company does not do a PDI, so if you're a mechanic, you can save up some bucks by doing it yourself! They will have to honor the rate they are giving you for shipping, although they may ship it to a warehouse near you, and you need to pick it up from there. They may ship the scoot how they received it from China, without making sure if all the parts are mounted correctly (or even mounted at all).

the 69 bucks for the warranty is a scam...as new scoots come with a free 6-12 month warranty already. I have seen many sites that do...and even a few that charge 50 bucks to send the MCO...which when I sold scoots..they all came with the MCO and were tucked under the seat..or in the luggage box.

Have to disagree with you on the warranty issue. China scoots actually come with no warranty from the manufacturer, ZERO. The only warranty you get is what the distributor importing the scooters will give you. If there is any doubt just call another dealer near you that sells a scooter from the same factory yours is from and try to get a part under warranty from them. If that scooter came from a different distributor than the one they deal with you willnever get any warranty parts. This is why every distributors warranty is different.
The drop shippers that offer additional warranty coverage for a price are doing it on their own. So if you need a part under warranty they are actually going to have to pay for the part if it goes beyond the time their distributors offer a warranty for.

Yeah, WE provide a 1 year warranty out of MY pocket. Thankfully we have only had very minor warranty claims, and those involve labor more than parts.
Also, if you are able to get a warranty part from the distributor, you still have to pay shipping, which for body panels can be more than the part itself.

Hmm..ok...must be then that the wholesaler I got them from did not offer a warranty. They all came with a paper saying one year warranty...but now that I think of it...there was no paperwork to register and apply for any warranty. Regardless any parts or repair needed within a few months of the sale...came out of my pocket. One reason I stopped selling scoots was because people would bring one back a few weeks or months later..claiming their crash damage was covered under warranty. I would replace CDI's...bulbs...adjust carbs..and set valves for free. But there was no way in hell I was parting with $150 out of my pocket to replace their broken body parts..or torn off exhaust systems from off roading them...or crashing them. Had the same problem with used ones I would take in and sell...everybody wanted something for free!! So I kept the last 5 new ones I had...gave one to my mother..one to my nephew..and used the rest as a family fleet. Done with all the crap. Just do repairs and parts sales now. Still people want something for nothing! They buy and install an electrical part..short something out and want a refund. I say no...go try that at NAPA or Autozone or ANY place with electrical parts and see what the policy is.At times it is just too frustrating for me anymore... Gonna buy me a Hot Dog Cart..and just sell Weenies 'n Cokes at the Beach in South Haven...instead...

Then you'll have lots of people wanting a refund because they didn't like the hot dog. Or try to wheel and deal on the price. You can't win.

yeah, their saussage fell in the sand, and they want a refund! Worse even, they'll sue you because there's a hair or a bug in the dog!
best is to be a consumer ^_^
Though I wish I had someone like you around here. Around here, there's no one willing to work on chinese scoots. I finally found one dealer willing to work on them, but he mainly does motorcycles, scoots come second row, and he was working singlehandedly, and already had a good 15 broken scoots to work on!

So now I give them the quote..i.e. It's gonna be $75.00... "Ok but how much will it be if I help you?"..... Hang on...let me do the math here..hmm that will be 2 employees...so it will be $150.00.. look...if you just come back in 2 hours I can save you the additional $75.00.. ;D...then they get the message and leave it to be fixed...

We never cover plastics under warranty. If we did we would go broke with the way some people smash up their scoots (LOL). We do however pay for shipping the warranty part to our dealer or customer. I don't think any other distributor does this. So while the ZNEN scoots cost our dealers more than a Peace for instance up front. They make up for it in quality and warranty coverage. They also don't have to send the old part back to us for us to cover the warranty. Everything is done on a trust basis.

For the most part people are honest. From time to time you will uncover a bad apple in the bunch.
