I have a 2009 Benelli Andretti M50 scooter. www.thescootersmopedsstore.com/store-products-Benelli-M50-M50-M-50cc-Gas-Motor-Scooter-by-Benelli%3A-Oil-Injected%2C--2-Stroke_1097834019.html-50cc's -2 stroke -500km Problems i am encountering: I filled the oil up and with a couple of days the oil tank is already empty and i had to put more oil. No leaks of any kind. 2) My speedometer is off a bit, but i calculated it and I'm only getting 40 MPG when i should be getting over 70MPG. I use premium gas, and i use 2 stroke oil. If anyone could help me i would GREATLY appreciate it! I have very little knowledge of how the inner workings of the scooter works, but i feel like the oil is mixing too rapidly. P.S. About the time when the oil started draining more quickly, i noticed that white smoke started coming out of the exhaust. Thanks -Azilyx

Also DO NOT use oil designated for use in a boat motor...typically TC-WII or TC-W3 as boats are liquid cooled and air cooled engines run hotter. One other thing....your oil pump is adjustable...it has a mark on it and a mark on the engine block....just like a 4stroke does on the flywheel and block to set timing.

Not trying to be a dickhead, but there is a 2T section. Just letting you know, I can see you're new here. Welcome to the site! You will find an EXPONENTIAL amount of help here. More than you could even ask for! Good luck with your problem! And of course, safe scootin'! PS: My friend had this same problem with his 2T. It turns out, he was using the wrong kind of oil. He switched up, and BAM! Back to where it should be Again, good luck with everything, and welcome to the best scooter forum, EVER! ;D

I can get 600 miles on a tank of oil and I use Motul 710 as any full synthetic 2T oil will work and the weedeater stuff is crap . Burning that much oil it should smoke like crazy . @ts do not get the MPG like a 4T since they operate at higher RPMs . My 2T I can get from 60 MPG to 80 MPG depending on my speed and the hills . It is very hilly here .
You have a high end scooter it should be able to do 45 with ease and more with just a few tweaks like upjetting , unrestricted exhaust and a Uni air filter . Note larger main jet = less MPG but more power

But that's off topic... I'm just saying that from what I've seen/read, he knows 2T's.

Im surprised no one mentions trying just premixing your own gas/oil. Find the ratio online or on your metal spec plate. Alot of people dont trust those cheapy oil pumps. The convenience is nice but you'd hate to lose lube, plus that oil is expensive.

"Also DO NOT use oil designated for use in a boat motor...typically TC-WII or TC-W3....." "One other thing....your oil pump is adjustable..." OH SNAP! I've been using TC-W3. skuttadawg~ I'll get some fully synthetic oil. Possibly the Motul 710 2T like you've suggested. I'll test the new oil out first and see how well that does, and report back with an update. On another note, the scooter has about 530 km at the moment, and i haven't done any service maintenance's or anything of the sort. Both breaks are extremely squeaky. The Blinker for both the oil and gas, doesn't work anymore as well. Sometimes when the gas is low and i shake the scooter, the gas would move in the tank and the blinker would blink for a split second. Btw. Thanks for the super quick replies everyone. I hope to get this guy 100% properly working and hopefully get accustomed to properly maintain the scooter.

For step 1, how do i test my scooters idle RPM? What is the throttle level free play (ETC switch) for step 2? Man I'm lost in the explanation..
Last time i changed and added the transmission oil was like at 300 km. Damn odometer says it's in miles but for ever 5.5 miles i actually go, it read 8 miles or so.

So after filling up the oil tank like 2 days ago, it looks like it's already deplenished. Smoked like crazy. Then i went to the gas station refilled it fully and when i tried to start it, i had to add throttle to start it; BUT once it started there was no smoke at all.
If someone could explain to me how the oil pump works, and what im adjusting for it to pump more oil or less and the effects i should see; etc. That would be great! I tried finding a youtube vid but i couldn't find one.

Your pump is wack . Many are not adjustable but since you have a better brand you may have gotten lucky and have a Mikuni oil pump . If so read this article 49ccscoot.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=yamajog&thread=3151&page=1 A guy there and sometimes here to 90GTVert is a 2T guru . If you can not adjust the pump then you canreplace with a Mikuni oil pump if its not one or premix . Premix is a hassle compared to injector but its a much more reliable method . I had an oil pump die on a Tomos and I premixed instead of replacing the pump . I was used to premixing any ways with my other mopeds and off road motorcycles . Here is a .pdf on premixing even though its old it still has useful info www.bridgestonemotorcycle.com/documents/oilpremix6.pdfNow if you decide to premix some have a sensor in the oil tank that prevents the engine from running or starting if the oil level is too low or empty so you would need to bypass that if equipped . I bet your spark plug is covered in oil , so remove and clean it with carb cleaner spray . The NGK iridiums spark plugs fire better than the others and not prone to fouling out from oil deposits like the others . I use NGK BR*HIX in my 2T

Here is some pics of what my pump looks like. I'm not really to what settings to adjust it to. Here is the album of pics. imgur.com/a/aanI4#0Pic1: how the pump looks pic2: Better pic of the pump. You can see the number 5, and a little line. pic3: close up pic4: the bolt pic5: The pump with the throttle pulled before the engine picks up pic6: The pump with the throttle pulled just until the engine picks up. Im not exactly sure where to adjust the line to. Any ideas? Thanks -azilyx
