Hey everyone i got a question for you guys. What is the difference in the long case vs short case? Which one does the GY6 150cc scooters with the 13" wheel come with? Reason i ask is because here in Puerto Rico no one ever ask about short case and long case. I am currently in the process of making our list to order TAIDA parts and they have a few options for long case and short case. I am only interested in cases for the 13" wheel.
Thanks guys.

the only thing I know is that the short cases are for wheels that are 10 inches the long case is for 12 or 13 inch wheels.
so I the GY6 150cc only come as a 150cc long case. I'm not sure if this will help you.

12'' or 13'' is the long case.
The short case is 10'', and normally used for the 50cc.

No problem.
I am not really sure why they send the longcase out with 12'' and 13'' tires. The three I have owned have all been 12'' tires. I'd rather have 13s but thats an expensive change between the rims and the tires for whatever little benefit you would get.

I love my scooter with 13s it rides and handles better than the 16s and the 10s by miles . The 130/60/13 tire selection is great with many premiums ones to opt from .

I was talking to my local scooter shop guys a few weeks ago about 12 vs. 13 inch rim's and this is the scoop he told me. 12 and 13 inch rims have the same outer tire dia. the only real difference is that the 13's are a low profile tire and harder to get on the rim. so if you set the 12 inch rim and Tire next to a 13 inch rim and Tire they are the same height.
I hope this makes senses.
if your in Las Vegas and need any repairs I would TRUST Dillon at DRC Scooters Located at 5115 Dean Martin Dr #409, Las Vegas, NV 89118. 702-981-0404
I've spent a few hours talking to him and getting free advice and help from him on a few thing I could not get. (scooter are not auto's) they are not a retail shop they are repair only.

If a gy6 150cc has 10" wheels, its a shortcase. There are plenty of retro style 150cc that use 10" wheels.
The gy6 50cc also comes in long and short. The 50cc with 12" wheels, like the King Ghring Ruckus clone uses a long case.
The longcase and shortcase 139qmb both say "139qmb" on them. Same goes for the 157qmj.

Yeah they make a 150cc short case for 10 in. wheels. They use a different belt and cover but everything else is the same pretty much as far as I know. Lance Vintage 150 and the Lance Venice 150's use them
