Ya, Missouri considers a 49cc scooter to be a motorized bicycle so you don't need to register them. Need a car license to operate them on public streets and you can get insurance if you wish.

the responsible thing is to get insurance. Not all of use have un-insured motorist coverage. Mine is like $67 a year from Farmers.

Congrads it looks sharp . I like the fat tires and looks like you have a woven seat cover thats much better than standard vinyl cover . If your short than a shortcase may work for you . I am 6ft3 and was humped over on my old shortcase , but now I can sit up correct and in comfort on my Echarm .
On insurance as its required on above 50cc here with those optionally , I would get medpay ( to pay for ER is you wreck on your own like tire blow out ) and or PIP personal injury protection in case you work and could be out of work from a severe wreck . I am covered up to 10k on my medpay . I do not have health insurance so its well worth the extra even though I have surgical driving skills . I added roadside for 12 bucks for a year coverage . Its great piece of mind in case you have a failure like tire blowout . It would suck bad to have to push it for a long ways or have to find someone with a truck ata moments notice . I even have theft and collision since my scooter was bought new . My premium was 332 for a year with Foremost but only liability was 88 . I see alot of 150s and even 250s with a moped tag since they do not have a license . Getting caught uninsured , registered , tagged or suspension on license is not worth the risk . In SC its only 10 to register and tag 15 . Since insurance is required and so cheap compared to a car its stupid to not have it and be noid everytime you see a cop . On my Honda Spree 50 insurance was only 48 a year .
So be safe and enjoy your scooter as it looks like a good one .

in ny my zip has to registered w/ a plate and insurance because it goes over 30mph. insurance on the white one through a company progressive farms out to is $83 a year.
as far as the diamo, it sits really high, i'm just shy of 6-2" and my feet don't sit totally flat on the ground. this is likely due to the 130-60-12 front and 130-70-12 rear tires. it's a long case gy6 too. it has an adjustable rear shock. The seat isn't the standard vynl i've had with past chinese scoots. i found it in fort plain ny from a guy just starting a dealership, he bought 10 of them from precision motorsports, i'm kicking myself for not going with the black or pearl orange. he was asking 950 i bought it for 850.

Great looking scooter. I have a Diamo Aero GTX50. It has the same frame. Yours looks great in white, mine is red. I like your chrome CVT cover, mine is carbon fiber. There is a NOS red one for sale in Pueblo CO. for $700.
