I have a love/hate relationship with this scooter. I bought it for $300 about 2 years ago and have ridden it maybe 30 times in those 2 years. Generally it is not running correctly or in pieces with my "art projects." I thought I would show a bit of where it started and what I did this summer when I was bored, not in summer school. Like it or hate it, I enjoy the change! I purchased it not running since the PO said it had sat for a while. It was just the battery then and it fired right up. Shortly after owning it, I had to ditch all of the terrible stickers. One of the first things I ever did was remove the hockey mask. This summer I started by filling in the holes with Kwik Plastik and sanded them smooth and painted them. Much cleaner look now. Stripped the scooter down to get to each panel for paint. 1st color that I used that I ended up hating so I started over and went for yet another color. Decided to paint the wheels purple! ;D Relocated my turn signals to the panels instead. I was going for a Ruckus look so I removed the handle bar plastic covers all together and painted the handle bars purple after cleaning them and sanding them down. All back together, for now.... haha I have other plans for it but ran out of time. She is running great now after I bought a new carburetor. Next mods will be to recover the seat in something other than the color that shows EVERY stain as well as reduce it down to 2 colors. I also have planned to get new grips, new mirrors as well as install foot pegs. I also plan to mount the gauge cluster inside the glove box. Hope you like it!

I'm curious to see how the paint holds on the wheels. I think I like your first color but it is an art scoot, express yourself! What color do you plan for the seat?

I'm curious to see how the paint holds on the wheels. I think I like your first color but it is an art scoot, express yourself! What color do you plan for the seat? As of 2 weeks later, the paint on the wheel is still holding up nicely. I did a lot of prep work to the wheel prior to painting so that may help me as well. The paint is a paint for metal, just an odd color. In the light you can tell that it is metallic. For the seat, I am just going to go to the upholstery store and pick out a new vinyl fabric and get the same guy to re-do the seat. White just does not work for me anymore. Any thoughts on color? I want something that will work with any future paint changes in color to the body panels. ;D
