Hey, I've been looking around this site as a guest for awhile and couldn't find my answer, so I made an account.
I have a 150cc engine and a frame, but I don't have an installation manual of any sort. I need to know where to hook up which vacuum hoses and the carb.
So here is what I'm asking, could anyone take some shots of their carb and the hoses that hook up to various things and help me out? Basic labeling and such would be so helpful.
I've tried google and I can't seem to find a mechanic to help me.
Thanks for any help, if you need more information just ask. I can provide pictures in the coming days if there doesn't seem to be a response.
EDIT: I do not have a de-acceleration valve or whatever it is called on the side where the throttle is located on my Carb. Ideas?

This is a basic fuel and vacuum set-up. Most scooter will run with this set-up Attachments:

From the intake manifold, (some have two nipples, some have one. If there is only one you need a t-connector)
One line goes to the carb
One line goes to the fuel Petcock/pump. The fuel pump works with a little suction opening up a diaphragm.
The carb needs a vacuum to open up the special-Doohickey
New scoots have vacuum lines going to weird cannisters and other junk. I took all mine off. (I did not need a possible vacuum leak that would take an hour to track down)
Be sure to get new lines, as a vacuum leak will cause real issues

My scooter is fairly new and it has some weird black canisters that I have no idea what they do. I will get pictures of my scooter carb if I can't get it running with this information. Thanks so far.

That black canister is a charcoal filter/re-breather for the fuel tank.. there are threads here on how to remove it...
NEVER fill you gas tank to FULL or the gas will syphon into this canister and you will be walking until it dries out...3 to 4 days

I hooked up everything I could from the photo, but I still have some vacuum hose that isn't hooked up. The side of my carb with the throttle doesn't have a nipple.

That is ok, your Carb does not have vacumm operated ACV. Lefty Why don't you take pictures of the carb area and petcock and hoses, so we can see if everything is connected right.

So basically here is what I've got so far, through much confusion I'm not sure where the air filter tube goes Here is a picture of the side of my carb with the throttle (it's an old carb, I have a new one) I'm not sure where this nipple here goes And I'm not sure where this nipple goes either And here is my carbs other side with nipples

not necessarily, older vehicle parts tend to work better for me, specially after a rebuild. but its probably better to get a new one.
that scoot looks like it was under water for a year!

The engine will run better with a de-acceleration valve...get a new carb...

I have a new carb and it looks just like the old one. I just took pictures of the old one because it is detached and easier to get my camera around. Neither have a de-accelerator valve. I'll look around and see if I can't find a different carb at a local shop. The carb on the scooter is brand new.

If you have a new carb then you should be OK...maybe it doesn't need the ACV and just runs lean on de-acceleration...

I really don't know much about what you are saying haha. But I did buy a new carb because the one k had was rusty and old looking. But I bought one that looked identical to avoid it not working. I'm still trying to get the vacuum hose set up correct. I have it set up to the best of my knowledge and it will turn over but not start. It has spark and gas going to the carb. Not sure where to go next with it besides the vacuum hoses being set up incorrectly.

Take a picture of the carb and the hoses going to the carb and Petcock. We can tell you if the hoses are correct or not. Much easier to see what you have connected instead of trying to explain in writing. We can always modify your pictures and label and make changes to your pictures so you know excately where the hoses go. Lefty Here is a picture of mine, but my carb has the ACV vacumm hose that is going over the carb. If yours does not have a De-excelerator ignore that one.

Looking at your pictures... you have two brass nipples on the intake manifold...both of these must be connect to SOMETHING or one has to be plugged...
One vacuum hose goes to the petcock or fuel pump...
