Advisory troubleshooting guidelines . . . push-button switch failed closed, so starter would energize when either brake lever was pulled. The normal procedue is to pull either brake lever, then push the start button to energize. The little circuit board was deformed from cracking, and the mis-aligned internal push-back spring was "shorting" a closed circuit. If the starter was activating every time a brake lever was pulled, that switch would be my first guess, followed by looking for shorted wires.
What brings this up? Has this become some sort of common defect lately?
