Wow! I know this is an old thread, not sure how I missed it. I can't believe how the CFMOTO camp responded, unbelievable This is my take on what I read in this thread. The OP had a rant about a specific issue which may or may not be factual. After reading what a dealer posted about "three known fires" it seems to have some credibility. The OP is not bashing the quality of CFMOTO products, he actually says the he likes his Fashion and that CFMOTO has some good products. His issue is with how CFMOTO handled the fix for the fire problem. Instead of issuing a recall/bulletin stating a potential fire problem, CFMOTO apparently called it a performance or air flow problem. Most people might put off a fix for an air flow or performance problem, but I am sure a fire hazard would get immediate attention. If this is indeed how CFMOTO handled it, shame on them!!!!!!!! Now I don't know if this is actually true or not. But based on CFMOTO's response to this thread, I have no confidence in their company and this will surely be reflected on any future purchases from me or anyone that asks my advice! Congratulations to Dawg for taking a stand to defend his forum and freedom of speech CFMOTO had the opportunity to make lemonade from lemons, but instead chose to respond in a way that looked very unprofessional, immoral and just plain unethical. CFMOTO lost credibility, not Scootdawg forums. If CFMOTO wanted to do damage control and improve their image, they would fire Cfmoto (their forum representative) on the spot and respond in a more positive way

Wow - I hadn't checked this thread in a long time and surprised to see new posts. I loved riding my CFMOTO scooter, but sold it due to the fact that problems I had with it and other "posts" made me scared to ride it. I am so glad I sold mine especially after seeing the "tire" problems they are not having. Very scary when a company puts a tire on a 70+mph scooter that is only rated for 45mph - I feel for the family that lost a loved one due to this issue. www.madisonrecord.com/news/244001-motor-scooter-fatality-blamed-on-deflated-tire

Companies on the whole don't like to admit when they make mistakes, it opens them up to lawsuits etc... Chinese companies are even less likely to admit mistakes due to other reasons, their legal system goes after the head of the company and the penalties are often far worse than just economic.
