Hi all,
Is there a way to adjust the front and back disc brakes on a JMSTAR MC-13-150 touring scoot?
When I spin the front wheel I can hear a scrapping sound of the brake. I can't tell if the back is scrapping or if the CVT belt is dragging. At anyrate, the scoot does not coast for very far.
Thanks in advance.

Disc brakes are non-adjustable

sometimes on my scoot i can hear a soft scraping sound from my front disc brakes, the pads are real close to the rotor and on mine when i hear the noise I use the front brake lever just a tad and it will stop the noise most of the time, and after a rain if I don't use it for a day or two it gets a little rusty and squeals.

You will always have some contact with pads against the rotors, you always will. Due to the material of the pads and the rotors, some noise is normal.

Thanks all.
This is my first scoot with disc brakes. Its nice to now know that what I observed is normal.
Thanks again.

Disk brake "Anti-squeal" is a rubber-like compound that you put on the *BACK* of the brake pads. It makes the pads stick to the caliper and piston. When the piston retracts after releasing the brakes, it pulls the pads away from the rotor too. No more squeal or squeak.
If the scooter isn't coasting far, it could be the brake caliper is sticking or the piston is seizing inside the caliper. Quick check would be to ride the scooter around the block WITHOUT using the brake in question. Hop off then lightly and quickly touch the brake rotor. If it's hot, then the brakes are dragging and you probably need a new caliper or master cylinder.
