Is there any such thing as a National Scooter Association? Like the is for Motorcycles. If not it would be a way cool idea. Seems to me the population of Scooters is rapidly growing.

I was also thinking that there is a nowhere any association about national scooters. It is a great idea to start association for national scooters cause scooters are growing day by day. Best of luck......

Of all the numerous AMA named groups...I belong to AMA=Academy of Model Aeronautics. You would need a good insurance company to back you. Ours carries $2,500,000 personal liability insurance coverage $25,000 Medical Coverage-AD&D Policy ($10,000 Death Benefit) $1,000 Fire, Theft, and Vandalism coverage. Many laugh at insurance for a Radio Controlled Model Airplane. But the average 5' wingspan..6lb plane..traveling at 60mph..with a 2T engine screaming away at 12,000rpm with an 11-12" sharp edged prop on it...can really cause some damage Regardless...will the scooter AMA/NSA carry insurance?..

its a shame but every group that sponsors anything you have to have a TON of insurance. even if you make everyone sign 'waivers' that the group is NOT responsible for anything, the group does. But there's always a ambulance chaser out there that will find away around any and all waivers, and sue the group. And if you dont have adequate insurance well the group is Fed or maybe even the individual who started the group. this is america---sue anybody and everybody dont work, dont struggle--SUE

Hell nothing but non stop TV commercials on all those we can sue...then wonder the why economy goes to sh!t and companies raise their prices at ridiculous rates.. When I first joined AMA it was $12 per year...now it is $58...due to.... you guessed it. Law suits...where they sought and were awarded outrageous settlements..

EVEN IF THEY HAVE A FENCE UP Same in Michigan..a person breaks into your house or garage and gets injured in the process....you can be sued..and many have..
