Seems like my rear tire is less than round. Sooo-when I shop for replacements, I don't see many in my size 4.00X12. Are there any other comparable sizes, which will fit properly? Thanks

Don't feel lonesome,we just receved 3 scoots with 4.00x12. IMHO think that this is the old way sizeing tires,in inches.Today they use the metric system. The smarter younger dawgs will let us know.Think maybe 120-70x12 might be close.

My original oem's were 4.00x12. 4" = 101.6mm Found a deal at Faster-Mini's on a 130-70x12 (rear tire) for my scoot for $21.43. I got a 110-90x12 for my front elsewhere.

4.00x12 is a pretty high profile tire! That's equivalent to a 100/100-12.
Most of the 12 inch wheels I see are using 120/70 or 130/60 tires, which have about the same outside diameter as 3.50x10 tires. (The manufacturers do that so they can advertise "larger" 12 inch wheels while still using standard GY6 engines and drive trains!)
Good luck on your quest to find a replacement tire!

PUKAME: Why the two different sizes front vs. rear?

PUKAME: Why the two different sizes front vs. rear? Those were the original tires for the Tank Courier as recommended by the Manufacturer. (110-90x12 front, 130-70x12 rear) My scoot came with the cheaper Chinese 4.00x12s, so I didn't have a choice then. I've always used Michelins, whether car/truck/ or motorcycle. When I saw the deal at Faster-minis, one didn't have to be a rocket scientist and when the shipping was cheap ....... I have Michelins for my front & rear. The road holding capabilities are so much superior and the top 4 tire makers don't make 4.00x12s. Too bad the 110-90x12 was a little more from another supplier but it almost matched the height of my original 4.00x12. My scoot carries more weight in the rear and so the wider tire as recommended by Tank puts more rubber on the pavement and weight cabability is slightly better. I agree with that assessment.
