Welcome to the Pound Grump. Sounds interesting as hell, looking into the round table. Is there anything new to learn about it?

You guy's wont believe this but there's enough evidence that proves King Arthur's brother Madoc discovered America back in 562 AD after a comet struck Britain and devastated the place. It was the same year as the Battle of Camlan was faught and won by Arthur who had gone to Brittany (france) following the Battle.
Madoc was at sea with a fleet of ships when the comet struck sending clouds of dust into the atmosphere just like when Mt.St. Helens in Washington erupted. With the sky blackened out and no visible means of navigation they kept sailing west and discovered America. Strange but true, there's plenty of documentation about it if you want to look.

I don't know about enough evidence to prove the Modoc & Arthur coming to N. America in 6th century story. But there's certainly enough to fuel interesting speculation and conjecture. Here's a link.... it's pretty easy to find more stuff like this through google searches, a fun read! www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/943967/posts

There are tons of sites like that one. Few people know there were two Arthurs one who lived and faught the romans and another several centuries later who faught the Saxons. If you want the real history look at this not conjectures and inventions. www.realhistoryradio.blogspot.com/

Welcome flhtri. Sounds like you have a serious fleet. Is that Geely 2 stroke the old Model 16? That's a pretty seriously fast scooter.

yes i beleive it is a 16 .it was private branded by the shop i bought it at but realised it is a geely after i started working on it. it is very quick, would probably do easy 55 if i were nuts enough to try it.i just replace the carb and pluged up the oil injection to go to a mixed gas as it is a real problem to start after it has sat for a week or so. always have to drain the fuel bowl to get it to start. really enjoy the forum.

If it's a 16, it's not built to go as fast as it will. Too small and spongy suspension. Take care of it. I think it will probably be a cult collector's item someday.

That's true. After spending most of the rest of the week inside it's very relaxing to get outside and work in an environment you cannot control. Cars are (normally) twist the key and go. Tell that to a half ton morgan/draft mix and he is going to look at you like you done lost 'yo mind.

I'm an IT/web tech consultant in an advertising company, and a part time animator/videographer. (www.rombusdigital.com - you can find a simple demo video there that needs to be updated). I also write freelance articles for local papers about mobile technology and am a self-proclaimed cell phone junkie. I fell in love with scooters on vacation with my wife in Newport, RI where we rented one for the weekend. I swore that I'd own one, and now here I am trying to figure out what the heck I'm doing!

This is a good question. I've done alot of jobs from working a shrimp boat in New Orleans to Embroidering bowling shirts in Kansas City. If it has wheels and you can drive it here in america I have a license for it. I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. Right now I am doing some part time freelance writing and advertising and being a stay at home dad.
I got into scooters a couple of years ago and really enjoy riding them more than motorcycles. I have a Roketa Maui 50cc. One of these days I'm going to mod the stuffing out of it.
p.s. I've also worked as a mechanic and a priest so when I do work on it I know how to pray to make it work right, lol.

Don't forget we have enough Veteran's to form a ScootDawg militia. Watch out world!! With all the pilots and boat people we can have a Navy and Air Force too. Maybe my dads ferry can serve as an assault vessel discourging her pack of maddened scooter nuts on beaches everywhere.

Explained in bio below. What do I do? Only what I want to do usually. I'm Retarded,I,I,ah,dah, I mean retired at 53. No disrespect to those who are mentally challenged. You see I am challenged myself. Lost my right leg above the knee 4 inches. Wear a Prothesis that's $25,000. And they want to sell me one that's $60,000. Will the GREED ever stop? No the rich are really puffed up. Like a Blowfish on Jack Daniels. I got my first artifical limb 33 years ago it was $1500. Actually the new expensive only has what I would call marginal improvements over the first one. Don't pay any attention to what you see on TV Medie ect. Most all of that is hype for the people who make them and they make feel good news storys. Most amputees can do anything for a couple of minutes in front of a TV camera. I know I used to make artifical limbs. But I have overcome it all and I am relaxed and scootin down the road. Pegusus150. More fun than trying to hold up my old Yahama 1100 & 750 Honda. Although the Yam 1100 was a great bike. Going riduculisly fast was easy, but stooping was another issue altogther. 800 lbs. rider and bike & fairing. Whoe Nellie don't buck me off!

I always wanted to be in the military. I studied all the time. I had memorized every cockpit of every airplane the military used. Two weeks before my physical I was in an accident and they had to rebuild my leg with permanent hardware. No more military, But it's been an interesting ride since then.

As far as i'm concerned a career in the service of your country is just about the top of the ladder, it's not a great place if you have a naggin wife and a passel of kids tho.
