Hello to all. I am a old time hot rodder and bike rider. I started working on scooters about a 1.5 years ago. I have built a few hundred and hope I can add some good info to the forum. vamartha.smugmug.com/photos/155060668-M.jpgCan anyone guess where this is and what they are doing. you get a free sparkplug if you can. ;D

Welcome to Scootdawg, lots of us in the pound! Looks like a strip I use to fly into from time to time out side of Fayettville, but then again another one near Goldsboro could be this one. Heck, must be about three hunderd that look like that, but I dare say I've been there at some point over the last 40 years!

That is the old airport at Maxton, nc, and the ETCA was having a land speed racing event at the time, so I bet you have been there, rerun2.

Oh yeah, been there, been years ago, it was active with only a unicom in those days... I didn't venture a guess, but thought that the crowd there might be involved with flying RC models, seems to be a common use at 'abandoned' air strips!

Hey all,
Just got started in scooting and my first day visiting here at ScootDawg's place.
Right now I'm just about a retired everything and I'm looking forward to having some fun for a change.
I know, it is a risk. I simply let the lord know that I'm open to the pain but I just ask him to let me continue being useful, no matter what.
Have a great day,
Sandlizarrd (I chose the name Sandlizarrd in honor of a World War II submarine)
PS: I'm registered as ager at the MotorScooter Muse website

Welcome Sandlizarrd! Don't feel alone, there are quite a number of us 'experienced in life' folks here. Make yourself at home, find some threads that interest you and ask about things you want info on... things are pretty forthright here, and we do try to stay on the topic of scooters and riding.
