Newly interested in scoots

Hello My name is Jim but I go by the name of Chainsaw. I grew up in the 60's in a small Michigan town. Back then everything that had engine was worth giving a long hard look. I've owned all types of minibikes and motocycle over the years. A buttload of VWs and and a few cars and trucks that could hold their own against the locals.
I've also been a bicycle nut since I was a kid. I rode alot but my big interest was tearing them down and doing crazy builds. Well I'm back to doing it again but this time I dragged my wife into the craziness! We are members of the FreakBike Nation and have a few bikes and cruises under our belts.
Recently I've been finding electric scooters and some gas ones, around the neighborhood, that people don't want. So I've decided to start collecting the usable stuff and will be building a FreakScoot in the near future. I'll probably be asking alot of questions as time go on, so please bear with me on the stupid stuff.
Now I'm off to check out more of the site!

Chainsaw Welcome! Thanks for joining. There is not a lot of electric discussion here but several members who have done quite a bit. Swampsniper (Bob) one of the moderators had an electric bike conversion as did Lewtwo a long time member. Feel free to ask questions.
