Seeing as I have stumbled upon the place to introduce myself, I am Jeremy from Bloomington, IN. I am new to scooting, but I think I have "caught the itch" from my fiance. My ride is a black and white TaoTao CY50-B that I believe will be great after a little TLC. Has some initial issues but thats for another post.

Newness. Moved to Vero Beach, FL at the end of August, my wife and I got scooters by the end of October. I'm on a Kymco Like 50 2t. Runs great, needs a derestricted exhaust to run to it's potential, but on the fence about breaking the warranty. Love this forum. There is much knowledge shared herein. Cheers!

Hello All, just got a SUNL 150cc Scooter from a friend as cheap transport to & from work. I love it so far, have been officially riding it for day # 2.5...was gracious enough to make a wide right hand turn this morning on a highway, ended up bouncing off the center median, falling over in traffic, braking my right mirror off and killing both my knee caps, and ruining a brand new pair of scrubs. (Im a nurse so I was able to self asses, that I wasnt injured, but was still just the biggest weenie in the street) Oye. Wounded pride. Hoping to get a better scooter like a Kymco, and then eventually a motorcycle, provided I can get the darn M1 lic.

Hello Everybody,
Just a regular guy who got a Kymco Espresso 150 (just like the People) a couple of years ago, and hasn't looked back since.
It's about time to start learning some basic maintenance, which led me to your forum. Hope to learn a lot from you guys!

Hello, I live in Taiwan where I have a small trading company that supplies and ships motorcycle and scooter parts and accessories internationally (mostly SYM). If you don't live near a dealer and have to mailorder anyhow, you can contact me via my website (www.scooterseals.com) for a quote. Best regards, Cam Purvis Hsinchu City, Taiwan

Hello to all! I am new to scooting. Purchased a Chinese Cixi Kingring 150cc Scooter at the end of March. Had my first stupid accident in the middle of April. Back on at end of April and loving it. I am trying to learn how to do my own maintenance, so I may have many stupid questions for all the experts. I have seen nothing but glowing reviews for ScootDawg, so thanks in advance for your awesomeness!
I have my motorcycle permit here in Atl, GA and just got legally registered two weeks ago.
I will be a year round rider, so any suggestions on how to make the seasonal issues more bearable will always be appreciated.
Thanks! M.

Hello from fabulous Las Vegas Nevada! Name's Jason and I am the owner of a "Frankenstein" scooter. She has her issues but, with over 1100 miles(5000+ total) since I picked her up last fall, not too many issues but tons of fun! Since she was kinda rough when I got her...and, honestly, WHY I bought her...I've taken this as a challenge to test my skills and learn new ones. Last owner claimed to be a scooter guru but, since I caught him in a lie and from what I've observed about the scoot, I don't trust his claims. Didn't matter anyway. I planned to upgrade/customize her fromjump, and I've learned a wealth of knowledge that is going to get me far. Since I am a "victim" of Child Support Svcs., she's my main transportation, and I need her right. So, I'm looking forward to learning and laughing and arguing with my Dawgs!! Woof Woof!! LOL!! And I have christened her, Laohu, my little Chinese tiger! Pics coming soon...

Hello, Just joining this site. So I wanted to buy a scooter ::)soon, and doing research I found a site selling a ATM50-A1 TaoTao Adult 50cc Gas Scooter that I thought would be good and a very reasonable price with shipping.(wanting to spend as little money as possible). If I can get financing I may buy from a local dealer instead. In the meantime I will be looking @ pics here and reading posts as well. Hope to make some posts soon of me on a new scoot. ;D

Hi, I live in Wisconsin U.S.A. and have been riding my 2009 Sym Citycom 300i for about a year now. I had been looking at scooters for about a 1 1/2 years and after reading through may reviews and wanted the Sym but didn't have the $7000 USD the dealer was asking. Well the dealer decided to stop selling the Sym line and cut the price to $3500 USD, so I went in and bought it. I have a 50 mile round trip to work and ride my scoot every day I can. After 3000 miles I am averaging about 75 MPG and loving it.
Thanks for all the good information these boards provide.

Hello everybody - I'm a newbie with a gas 150cc wangye scooter - got it plated etc (for Ontario, Canada) and on the road 2 days ago . I had a Vespa years and years ago; also have 2 electric scooters, a Tsunami and a Gio. All these products are Chinese made. Only problem with my gas scooter (that I call yellowbird) is the seat is stuck. I saw the few comments about how to fix so will try that in the morning before I break they key or take a crowbar to the seat. My wallet with license, cards, cash etc. is stuck under that seat !

Hooray - it's fixed - apparently there is a cable inside/under right side panel near signal indicator. You pull this cable and the seat pops open. Watchout that you pull the cable, rather than the wires to the indicator signal which are cloe by.

Hey Everybody,
It seems I was a member here several years back, but after two years without a computer, and not remembering any of my sign-in info, I just re-registered again. I always enjoyed the abundance of info on the forums, and now find that there is much more info about my 2008 Linhai 300. After four years and 3000 miles, it seems to be in as good a shape as new. I'm in my 50's, and sorta computer dumb, especially in trying to figure out how to operate these postings on the forums. Hope to find enough time to spend some here. Glad to be back, and please be patient with my lack of computer skills.
Nice Breezes,
Joe Mack

Hi all,
I guess this is where we introduce ourselves to the community. I am a retired judge. I rode mc for the last 5-6 years. Most recent bike is an old Goldwing.
This last March I got a good deal on a Piaggio BV200 that I restored and gave to my old boss. Since then I have restored a dead Lifan 50 and given it to an 80 year old lady in my church. I bought another scoot yesterday, a SYM 200HD that I am going to keep for myself. I have been surprised how much fun the scoots are. Look forward to seeking advice on how to keep these things running.
I am in Phoenix, AZ and it really is too hot to do anything in the summer.

Scooter only has 1500 mi. on it. Also installed a new racing cdi. It runs smooth ,about 45mph on the highway has more power but I need a little more speed so what should i try next for more speed?

My name is Robert and I live in Hinesville, GA. So, yesterday I bought a brand new black md50qt-3 from local dealer. I have driven about 20 miles on it today. I've been poking around on here trying to find info on the engine (without much luck). Starting to look like I found a gold mine by coming across this site! I look forward to interacting with everyone...

Todd in Wake Forest, NC. I got hooked on scooters when I was living in Southeast Asia and rode a 1972 Vespa for a year over there. Tried to have it shipped back to the states until I saw the regulations to get it out of Indonesia. When we returned, my wife's uncle gave us a Schwinn Graduate 50cc if we wanted it. Yes, we did! I have a 1.5 mile commute to work. Our town is not big. Life is great. Some work needs done, but I'll get to that later. There is a riding club at my church, but it is pretty serious Harleys there. I would love to meet up with a real Skuter Gang and try a ride someplace.

Hi all. I sold my CBR 900 a week ago and having a second vehicle, Started looking on CL and came across a Sunl GY6 150cc with 560 miles on it. Seems stock and runs pretty good. Had a vacuum leak (One of the connections on a T hose connection was wide open) and I fixed it and now it runs great. Been able to do 55 and 60 if I lean forward LOL!!! I havent had this much fun since I got into motorcycles back in the late 80s. It will be winter soon and I will probably start tinkering with it more and will be looking on here for mods.
