I really don't know what spring you should use for a GY6. I would suggest a stiffer spring as opposed to a shim though. Seems a little more safe to me. I have stock, mild, and more race oriented torque springs for my scoot. The stock one is great for being hassle free, and keeping the noise down (my 2 stroke is quite loud). The midrange spring is not too obnoxious but offers a boost in response when I'm cruising around, as well as a faster take off. The stiffest spring is by far the most fun, but it keeps me revved higher in town making a good bit of noise (not much of an issue for most muffled 4 strokes). I lose no top end with the middle spring, and maybe a couple mph with the stiffest. Talk to some other GY6 owners and see what is said for certain springs on similar setups, then decide if you want to go for every last bit of top end, if you want to feel it take off hard when you twist the gas, or if you want both. Your roller weights will play a role in the effects of a torque spring as well. I can't run really light rollers (2g) with my stiffest spring unless I want it to slip and top out at 20mph... but I can run them with better results using the stock spring. Just some ideas of what info you need to look at with your setup from my own experience, hopefully it helps a little.

I saw a NOS kit for scoots awhile back on ebay. The kit consisted of tubing an adapter for your intake and a handlebar button. The bottle size was a little larger than a CO2 bb gun cartridge. Kit comes with 5 cartridges and they offered cartridges in 25 count packs for around 60 bucks, I think the kit was somewhere around 70 80 bucks if I remember correctly. I thought aabout gettin one but blew it off because I like my scooters engines too much to toast one for a little boost!
