At this point I don't think there is any "usually" involved. I haven't heard from anybody else so far this spring. I know Dawg has been busy as heck, so he's excused.... Feel free to make suggestions. Perhaps the old Dawgs just need a pup nipping at their heels.... Personally, I am occupied on Mother's Day weekend, but would definitely be interested in getting out and around otherwise. I got out last Saturday before the weather turned sour--hasn't been a fit spring for riding much. I think I've ridden to work about one week in the last month, and rode about one week solid in March before the weird cold snap that froze all the tree leaves....

I am in Ft Riley/Junction City area. I'm looking to get together and ride with some other dawgs. I would like to try and put something together for mid to late spring.

Lee's Summit, MO here. There is an amateur radio group in KC that links up with a STL group every spring. I'm trying to find out their link, which I found two weeks ago and added to my favorites; but wouldn't you know it...my computer crashed. So anyway; I scoot from Greenwood, MO to Lake Jacomo and through the back country to Powell Gardens every weekend it gets above 65 degrees. I'd be happy to meet up.

Thanks for the link. Not much going on with them right now. Do you anything more about them (ie: number of members, where they meet an d how often, etc.)? I can't wait until it gets warm to get out and ride. I have cabin fever.

Yeah, I figured it was too cold for alot to be going on with the club too, but on the calendar I see that this weekend "An unorganized ride is being scheduled for all interested parties, starting at Johnny Ray's Drive In located in Lee's Summit, MO. The roads the ride will take should be determined by the speed attainable by the lowest cc scooter."

This board is what got me interested enough to quit grazing and actually become a SkooterKat--uhm, I mean ScootDawg. ;D
I'm a new enough (read "unexperienced") rider I'm not hitting highways, and am not really comfortable yet with the thought of going too far astray from the Olathe/OP (College Blvd) areas. There was a vague thought last year of possibly perhaps meeting closer to Olathe-ways for a group ride. Is anyone still interested in doing that? If so, I'd be game to try (so long as there's no wet roads or anything....)

I'd be up for a ride /meet in the Olathe/Lenexa/OP area. Providing I'm not rebuilding my carb for the 3rd time...

'rails--interesting that you're working on your carb, and my mechanic just adjusted mine (hoping to stop the oil light coming on and the idle going low). Finally got my scoot back YIPPEE!!
However, I'm thinking 100° weather doesn't really make me want to ride far. I AM going out in the morn, to gas up and to check how it rides. But as for a get-together, let's maybe wait a bit until we're at least back into mere double-digits. I'd like my first group (or even couple two-three person) ride to be special and memorable, but definitely NOT for heat-related reasons!
Let's spread the word though, see if anyone else would like to join us.

Yeah, those triple digit days were NOT fun riding home, though the ride into work at 7 AM was worth it.

Next weekend I am taking my kids back to their mom's house as my summer visitation will be over. After that, I'd be up to taking a Saturday and having a ride, even if it meant I had to go to Lenexa! Just to make sure we're on the same page, I'm talking about 7/18 or a subsequent Saturday. I've wanted to have a group ride since I got my scooter last year. email me and we'll set something up smorkle@yahoo.com ;D
